KAPOS State Warm-up Area Information

1. Items that will be provided by KAPOS in the warm-up area:

a. Trainer – for medical and injury issues only. The trainer is not there to tape ankles, etc. This should be taken care of PRIOR to entering warm-up area.

b. Sound system with CD and cassette tape player. No other jam boxes will be permitted in the warm-up area. You will have a sound check after being called to the performance mat.

2. Because of liability issues NO CHILDREN are allowed in the warm-up area. Only coaches listed on the KAPOS Middle and Elementary School Competition entry form can come to the warm-up area with the teams.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK WARM-UP DIRECTOR TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION. BECAUSE OF LIABILITY ISSUES AND INSURANCE COVERAGE, NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE.

3. Cheerleaders should be dressed upon entering the warm-up area. Please do not bring gym bags because of limited space.

4. Enter the warm-up area through the door marked for Cheerleader Entrance.

5. Teams will be escorted straight from the warm-up area to the performance area for holding and on deck.

6. Be ready to enter the warm-up area at least 10 minutes prior to your warm-up time. Be sure to check on Friday before you come for last minute changes in warm-up times.

7. Coaches should have cheerleaders use the bathroom PRIOR to beginning the warm-up process. There will not be time during warm-up and the clock cannot be stopped once you enter the warm-up area.

8. Warm-up room order:

a. Pictures – 8 minutes (PLEASE have your pose ready to take photo.)

b. Sign In – 4 minutes (Will highlight COMPETING team members on insurance form)

c. Warm up Mat 1 – 4 minutes

d. Warm-up Mat 2 - 4 minutes

e. Full mat – 4 minutes

f. On deck – 4 minutes
