SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR MUSICAL THEATRE STUDENTS

Dr. Dasha Goody was a well-known figure in the arts community in Edmonton. She passed away in 2001, after a half-century of work in the field of musical theatre. From her early days as a singer, to the founding of Orion Musical Theatre in the early 1950’s to the creation of the Edmonton Musical Theatre Society in 1977, Dr. Goody spent her career working with singers and dancers of all ages. Many of her students have gone on to successful professional careers, including the late Robert Goulet, Susan Gilmour and Dan Chameroy.

The Foundation was established in 2004 to create a legacy to Dr. Goody’s memory and its Board of Directors believed there was no better way of honoring Dr. Goody than to create a lasting scholarship in her name.
