FP/UK/RAIL/16166/2015 in connection with development of Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail link. Sir, As desired, please find attached the acknowledgement slips of receipt of hard copy of the proposal no. FP/UK/RAIL/16166/2015 obtained from concerned office of the Divisional Forest Officer and District Collectors in single pdf file. The duly signed hard copy of the above proposal along with all necessary enclosures which is falling in 5 forest divisions and 4 districts have been submitted to the following offices - 1. DFO, Narendranagar Forest Division and DM, Tehri 2. DFO, Garhwal Forest Division and DM, Garhwal, Pauri 3. DFO, Rudraprayag Forest Division and DM, Rudraprayag 4. DFO, Kedarnath Wildlife Division and DM, Chamoli 5. DFO, Badrinath Forest Division and DM, Chamoli The forest area proposed to be diverted in favour of Indian Railways falling in five Forest Divisions. So proposals have been prepared respective divisionwise. When we approached DFO, Alaknanda Soil Conservation Division for submission hard copy of the proposal, it is pointed out by the DFO, ASCD that the proposal to be submitted to territorial Forest Division i.e. Badrinath Forest Division. Accordingly, hard copy of the respective proposal has been submitted to office of the DFO, Badrinath Forest Division. Now, it is necessary to change the name of Alaknanda Soil Conservation Division to Badrinath Forest Division in already uploaded 'Form-A'. It is, therefore, you are requested to kindly open the file (access to edit) of proposal no. FP/UK/RAIL/16166/2015 to make necessary changes in the already uploaded 'Form-A' so that Badrinath Forest Division can be selected in place of Alaknanda Soil Conservation Division. Except the change in name of the Forest Division, other details will remain unchanged. With kind regards. One of the important functions of the NGRBA is to prepare and implement a Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP). A Consortium of 7 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has been given the responsibility of preparing Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP) by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), GOI, New Delhi. Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed between 7 IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and MoEF for this purpose on July 6, 2010. This report is one of the many reports prepared by IITs to describe the strategy, information, methodology, analysis and suggestions and recommendations in developing Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP). The overall Frame Work for documentation of GRBMP and Indexing of Reports is presented on the inside cover page. There are two aspects to the development of GRBMP. Dedicated people spent hours discussing concerns, issues and potential solutions to problems.

Due to variability of demand during the day / night, there is generally a gap in consumption (demand met) of electricity during peak and non-peak hours. On a typical day, say 30th April, 2015, the demand met during peak and non- peak hours was 1,29,395 MW and 1,17,020 MW respectively. Thus, there was a difference of 12,375 MW in the peak demand and non-peak demand in a day on 30th April, 2015. This figure may vary for any given day depending on demand and generation.
