Arrival Delhi- drive to Haridwar

On arrival at Delhi airport warm welcome from Nagfani tours and travels and proceed fo Haridwar (Brahma Kund, the spot where the Amrit fell, is located at Har ki Pauri (literally, "footsteps of the Lord") and is considered to be the most sacred ghat of Haridwar. Temple darsan& Ganga Aarti Ceremony of the Holy River Ganges. Aarti is the beautiful ceremony in which deeyas) we will watch beautiful Aarti in Night time Overnight at hotel in Haridwar.

After Early breakfast we will travel for Barkot ( It is located on the banks of the Yamuna river. Barkot is the last big town near Yamunotri Dham.) Lunch on the way night stay in Barkot   (8 hours journey)

Day 2: 30 May

Haridwar-Barkot

Early morning after breakfast, drive to janki chatti 2 hr 2

min (45.0 km) approximately , start trek to Yamunotri 6 kms from

janaki chatti. You have an option to either walk or hire Pony or by Doli (at your own cost). After taking bath in Surya Kund (hot spring) visit Yamunotri temple "Darshan" and Pooja of pious "Yamunaji" at Divya Shila, Return to barkot & night stay at barkot.

Day 3: 31 May

Barkot- Yamunotri- Barkot

Yamunotri Temple - Situated at 3290 meters above ocean level. The Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is committed to Goddess Yamuna, who regarded be as a daughter of the Sun God, Surya Dev. According to the mythological stories and convictions, the Yamunotri Dham was an isolation of a sage Asti Muni. For the duration of his life, the Asti Muni every day showered in both Ganges and Yamuna. Be that as it may, in his old age he didn't have the enough energy to reach Gangotri, yet his great deeds paid off and a flood of Ganges showed up inverse to Yamunotri for him. This fanciful story adds to the otherworldly worth of the Dham. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

After breakfast we will proceed for Utrakashi (80 km distance) Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers: Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 metres, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'uttar' facing river. The major temple is the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiv Lunch on way and Dinner at Utarkashi Night Utarkashi

Barkot- Uttarkashi

After breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri Enroute enjoy picturesque Harsil valley, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. Reach at temple Darshan and perform pooja. Thereafter we drive back to hotel. Night stay. Gangotri - As per The Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga - the daughter of Lord Brahma, showed herself as a waterway to acquit

the transgressions of King Bhagirathi’s forerunners, taking after his

extreme retribution of a few centuries,. Along the right back of Bhagirathi stands the sanctum of Gangotri devoted to the Goddess. Roosted at a stature of 3042 meters (10,000 ft), it was developed in the 18th century by a Gorkha Commander, Amar Singh Thapa.

Uttarkashi- Gangotri- Uttarkashi

After amazing overnight stay in uttarkashi. Having your testy breakfast we will proceed to sitapur. After reaching, check in to your hotel. Relax after the hectic day. Overnight stay at sitapur.

Day 6: 03 June

Uttarkashi- Sitapur

Early morning at 6:30 report to helipad. After performing pooja and Darshan. You can enjoy magnificent view of the Himalayas. Night stay at Kedarnath.

NOTE : You can also visit Kedarnath Ji by trek (20 kms /08-09 Hrs per side) approximately

Day 7: 04 June

Sitapur- kedarnath darshan

Early morning you will drive till sonprayag (vehicles allow till this point) from here you need to take local jeep/ Max to reach Gaurikund (3 km, on direct payment basis (at your own cost) approx INR 100 per person approximately). Gaurikund – The trek start from this point to Kedarnath, you can also hire pony or doli. Which is long and beautiful man made trail. After reaching, performing pooja and Darshan. Later check in at hotel.   Night stay at Kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple The 1000 years old temple with a carved exterior is located in a courtyard protected by Nandi bull. This spot has great significance in the legendary Mahabharata epic. Inside the main sanctum is one of the 12 naturally formed 'Jyotirlingas' of India. The temple has carved shapes of the Pandavas, and Lord Shiva.

After amazing overnight stay in kedarnath. Having your delicious breakfast we will transfer to sitapur by helicopter and you can also hire pony or doli. 20 kms /08-09 Hrs approximately trek from kedarnath to gaurikund. Take local jeep/ Max from here to reach sonprayag (3 km, on direct payment basis, approx INR 100 per person approximately) sonprayag to sitapur walking distance are 10 to 15 minutes. After then we will proceed to karnaprayag   & overnight stay at Sitapur.

kedarnath darshan- Sitapur- Karnaprayag

After early morning breakfast we check out from hotel and proceed for Badrinath. After reach there we will do tasty dinner & spend our night stay at badrinath.

Badrinath Darshan-

Mana village –

(Badrinath was re-established as a major pilgrimage site by Adi Shankara in the 8th century.[6] In earlier days, pilgrims used to walk hundreds of miles to visit Badrinath temple ) After we will proceed for Mana village- (Mana village lies on the banks of Saraswati river, and is around 5 km from the famous Hindu pilgrimage centre Badrinath. This beautiful hamlet is 24 km from the Indo-China border, making it the last village of India) then we will proceed for Karnaprayag. And halt Karnaprayag.

One of the important functions of the NGRBA is to prepare and implement a Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP). A Consortium of 7 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has been given the responsibility of preparing Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP) by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), GOI, New Delhi. Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed between 7 IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and MoEF for this purpose on July 6, 2010. This report is one of the many reports prepared by IITs to describe the strategy, information, methodology, analysis and suggestions and recommendations in developing Ganga River Basin Management Plan (GRBMP). The overall Frame Work for documentation of GRBMP and Indexing of Reports is presented on the inside cover page. There are two aspects to the development of GRBMP.     HCC-DBL JV Wins Rs. 1,335 Crore Rail Vikas Nigam Order

    Press Release HCC-DBL JV wins Rs. 1,335 crore Rail Vikas Nigam order Mumbai, August 19, 2020: Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCC), in a joint venture with Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL), has been awarded a Rs.1,335 crore contract by the Rail Vikas Nigam, for construction of tunnels, bridges and formation works under package–9 of the new broad gauge rail line between Rishikesh and Karanprayag in Uttarakhand. HCC share in the JV is 60% (i.e. Rs.801 crore). This is an item rate contract for construction of 8.04 km long rail line involving 6.4 km long main tunnel and 6.3 km long escape tunnel, 2 major bridges and one minor bridge, 2.2 km long yard and a station at Karanprayag. The work is to be completed in 50 months. Mr. Arjun Dhawan, Group Chief Executive Officer, HCC said, “This is our third order win this quarter. RVNL’s 125 km new broad gauge rail line between Rishikesh to Karnaprayag will boost tourism, trade and connectivity for pilgrims between the five districts of Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Chamoli.” It comprises of 17 tunnels, 16 Major Railway bridges and 12 new stations. The rail line will connect to the new trade centres and will pass through many famous places connecting Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Gauchar, Karnprayag, Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Chamoli. The duly signed hard copy of the above proposal along with all necessary enclosures which is falling in 5 forest divisions and 4 districts have been submitted to the following offices - 1. DFO, Narendranagar Forest Division and DM, Tehri 2. DFO, Garhwal Forest Division and DM, Garhwal, Pauri 3. DFO, Rudraprayag Forest Division and DM, Rudraprayag 4. DFO, Kedarnath Wildlife Division and DM, Chamoli 5. DFO, Badrinath Forest Division and DM, Chamoli The forest area proposed to be diverted in favour of Indian Railways falling in five Forest Divisions. So proposals have been prepared respective divisionwise. When we approached DFO, Alaknanda Soil Conservation Division for submission hard copy of the proposal, it is pointed out by the DFO, ASCD that the proposal to be submitted to territorial Forest Division i.e. Badrinath Forest Division. Accordingly, hard copy of the respective proposal has been submitted to office of the DFO, Badrinath Forest Division. Now, it is necessary to change the name of Alaknanda Soil Conservation Division to Badrinath Forest Division in already uploaded 'Form-A'.

But the roads are good and very scenic. On the way you can stop at Devprayag and Srinagar. Once you reach Rudraprayag, check into your hotel. You can use the evening to explore this pretty town that stands at the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. It is also one of the Panch Prayags, or five confluences of Alaknanda river. Road: Dehradun to Rudraprayag is around 200 km and it generally takes about 7 hours to reach. There are several lookout points on the way, where you can stop for admiring the landscape. Rail: The nearest railway station is Rishikesh on the New Delhi-Dehradun railway line. Air: The nearest airport from Rudraprayag is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, roughly 179 km away. Day 02 RUDRAPRAYAG TO KEDARNATH The next morning after breakfast visit Rudranath temple and the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, then start your drive towards Gauri Kund, around 40 km away. Once you reach Gauri Kund, start the 14-km trek to Kedarnath. You can also ride a palanquin or a pony. Once in Kedarnath, check into the hotel.

Abstract In June 2013 multiple disaster involving flash flood and landslides struck many parts of Uttarakhand state. This caused massive devastation in the state on 16 and 17 June, 2013. In the present paper, attempt was made to analysis the landslide incidences and damages in Chamoli district. A total of 220 landslides were observed in the area. About 92% of slide occurred on northerly (48 percent) and southerly (43 percent) facing slopes. These may be subject to freeze-thaw and drier cycles. Heavy rainfall and low shear strength of the rocks have played a major role in facilitating these slides.
