    Int.J.Curr.Microbiol.App.Sci (2017) 6(6): 234-240 International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences ISSN: 2319-7706 Volume 6 Number 6 (2017) pp. 234-240 Journal homepage: http://www.ijcmas.com Original Research Article https://doi.org/10.20546/ijcmas.2017.606.028 Availability of Macronutrients and their Relationship with some Soil Properties in Molisols of Udham Singh Nagar District of Uttarakhand, India Vineet Kumar, Ajaya Srivastava, Shiv Singh Meena* and Sarvesh Kumar Department of Soil Science, College of Agriculture, GBPUA & T, Pantnagar, U.S. Nagar, Uttarakhand 263145, India *Corresponding author ABSTRACT An investigation was carried out to study the distribution of available macronutrients (N, P, K and S) and their relationship with some physico-chemical K e yw or ds properties of soil of different blocks of district Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand).The soils of the district were found sufficient in Phosphorus, Macronutrients , Potassium and Sulphur but low in available Nitrogen content. In general the Physico -chemical properties, macronutrients were correlated significantly and negatively with pH and positively Fertilizer with organic carbon of the soil. The values of the organic carbon, Alkaline recommendations KMnO4 extractable N, Olsen’s P and neutral normal Ammonium Acetate and Udham Singh extractable K in the Udham Singh Nagar district ranged between 0.13-1.64 per Nagar cent, 125.44-338.68 kg N ha-1, 7.34 -76.70 kg P O ha-1 and 66.08-271.04 kg K O 2 5 2 Article Info ha-1, respectively. From the above findings it may be concluded that the soils of Accepted: Udham Singh Nagar district are low in nitrogen, sufficient in phosphorus & in 04 May 2017 potassium, Except Sitarganj, Jaspur and Bazpur samples were low in potassium, Available Online: sufficient in sulphur except Rudrapur.

Due to variability of demand during the day / night, there is generally a gap in consumption (demand met) of electricity during peak and non-peak hours. On a typical day, say 30th April, 2015, the demand met during peak and non- peak hours was 1,29,395 MW and 1,17,020 MW respectively. Thus, there was a difference of 12,375 MW in the peak demand and non-peak demand in a day on 30th April, 2015. This figure may vary for any given day depending on demand and generation.

It differs from the plains in topography, elevation, geographic features, ethnic diversity, land use system, socio-economic conditions and diversity of habitats for flora and fauna. Among the diversity of habitats for flora, weeds cause enormous reduction in crop yield, wastage of resources and human energy and are also a health hazard to human being. Therefore, adequate and timely suppression of weeds is essential. Detail information about the weeds of any region is essential for deciding a weed control method. To study the diversity of weed flora in Bharsar region for weed identification purpose a field survey was conducted from 2012 to 2015 in a different blocks namely Medicinal and Aromatic Plants; Floriculture and Land Architecture; Potato Farm, Apple Orchard, Tea, Organic, Vegetable, Kiwi, Farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Fruit Nursery under College of Horticulture, VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture, Bharsar, Uttarakhand.

Introduction:- The Provinical Division, Public works Department New Tehri has proposed the construction of 0.50 km long Chamund link motor road in Tehri Tehsil. District- Tehri Garhwal. On the request of Er. Badan Singh, Executive Engineer, I carried out the geological Assessment of the proposed alignment on 30.12.12 in presence of Er. Y. P. Joshi, Astt. Engineer and Er. u. K Goel, p.D., p.w.D New Tehri. Z. LOCatiOn:- The Proposed alignment of Chamund motor link originates from km 4.0 of Tehri- Kirtinagar motor road and it ends at village Chamund, within 0.5 km length. The area lies in the close vicinity of New Tehri Town and Baurari Hamlet. :. GeOlOgiCal ASSeSSment:- Geologically the atignment of the proposed road is located in the middle lands of Garhwal Lesser Himalayan Belt, bounded by the Mail Central Thrust (MCT) in the north and Main Boundary Thrust (MBT) in the south. Another prominent ihrust namely Srinagar Thrust (ST) runs in between this beit which separates the rocks of Krol Nappe form the rocks of Garhwal Group. The proposed alignment is located the close vicinity of Srinagar Thrust and two different lithological units namely Chandpur phyllites and Nagthat Quartzites are exposed on its southern direction.
