 Statewide Evaluation Survey Feedback & Updates o Barb received only one question about 100% free/reduced buildings – If a building qualifies for 100% free lunch, how does that program answer question #16? . Vic says that districts still have actual free/reduced figures. . A challenge for these programs is that most parents then would indicate their children as qualifying for free lunch because they receive free meals at the school they attend, not necessarily based on their income. . The question is worded to ask how many students “receive” free or reduced meals vs. qualify for free or reduced meals. With this wording, those buildings receiving free meals for all students can report 100% for this question. o The committee is concerned about programs estimating percentages for questions #17 (ELL) & #18 (IEP). . New programs are not necessarily tracking this information for program participants. . The committee asked Vic to address the need for programs to track this at the meeting with program directors on Wednesday, 4/27. . Indira will change the wording between the ** so that programs use a building or district’s percentage to calculate the program’s percentage, if this is not currently tracked. o Indira had a question about including data for programs operating under a continuation grant (years 4 and 5, if approved). . The committee feels it is important to include data for any program receiving 21CCLC funds. . For question #7, Indira will add a bubble for Cohort VII. . She will also add clarification for Cohorts VI and VII that they are operating with continuation funds since they will be in years 4 and 5 when this survey is distributed in the fall of 2016.
