1. Call to Order Mehmet Ulema (Chair) called the meeting to order at 7:30 AM AEST and reminded participants about IEEE Standards and the Law http://standards.ieee.org/develop/policies/stdslaw.pdf, and to declare or update their affiliations and standards activities listed in the Roll Call.

2. Updates to the Agenda – Added “Approval of Changes to the Project Status Report”, Changed Item 7 for Discussion from Decision, Added [INFORMATION] Share result of Electronic Votings conducted for P1652s and P2410  [Motion] “Approve the Agenda” - Glen moved and Niranth seconded. — [Result] APPROVED by acclamation as there were no objections.

4. [INFORMATION] Status updates from Working Group Chairs  P1903 WG: P1903.1/P1903.2/P1903.3 — Meeting in currently on-going in IEEE ICC 2014, Sydney for 3 days. Conference Call in Sep’14 and F2F in GLOBECOM 2014. — Setup objectives for studying Service Virtualization aspects in a Task Force. A CfP was circulated within the WG.  Access Networks WG: 1904, P1904.2 — Next meeting in Colorado – 23rd Jun’14. Joint workshop with BBF.  SIEPON WG: P1904.1-Conformance 01, 02, and 03: — Completed initial sponsor ballot. — Draft to be submitted to RevCom (Need to check regarding Continuous Processing) in Aug’14.  P1906.1: — No updates  P1907.1: — No updates.  P1908.1: — No updates.  P1910.1: — Next Webex meeting – 26 Jun’14. — Started a new email list on RIT. (This needs to be archived within IEEE) — Discussed Security related issues. — Multi-meshed Tree VLAN being explored.  TeleTest SC: — No updates.

5. [INFORMATION] Status updates from ComSoc Standards Committee  DySPAN — Section 4.1 of P&P for DySPAN had some issue and needs to be resolved for AudCom approval.  PLC — No updates.

6. [DECISIONS] Approval of the COM/SDB Minutes of the last meeting

Page 4 of 8  [Motion] “Approve the COM/SDB 29-Apr’14 minutes” - Curtis moved and Niranth seconded. — [Result] APPROVED by acclamation as there were no objections.

7. [INFORMATION] Share result of Electronic Votings conducted for P1652a  Electronic Motion was APPROVED with 7-Yes, 0-No, 1-Abstain votes.

8. [DISCUSSION] Approval of HDBaseT PAR  IEEE SA and HDBaseT alliance are working on a legal document for license agreement.  [ACTION] Circulate the legal document with the Board – Jonathan.

9. [INFORMATION] Approval of P2410 (BOP) PAR and Joint Sponsor Agreement  Electronic Motion was APPROVED with 7-Yes, 0-No, 1-Abstain votes.  COM/SDB is the primary sponsor.

10. [DECISION] Approval of Changes to the Project Status Report  [Motion] “Approval of Changes to the Project Status Report” - Glen moved and Niranth seconded. — [Result] APPROVED by acclamation as there were no objections.  Will be in effect from next meeting.

11. [INFORMATION] Status of COM/SDB Mailing List  3 mailing lists are created as requested.  Collecting contact information for creating the distribution list.

12. [INFORMATION] Financial report  Transaction from SIEPON in May’14.  Need to discuss with IEEE Staff and try to tie it up with the Project status report. Need to understand the process for procuring this information.

13. Other business  [DECISION] Approval for forming a Study Group on Reliability, Security and Performance of Software Defined and Virtualized Ecosystem — Study Group on “Security, Reliability, and Performance for Software Defined and Virtualized Ecosystems” — The objective of this SG is to identify primary standards development opportunities in the reliability, performance, and security aspects of the SDN, NFV, NGSON, and related areas and thus prepare a Project Authorization Request (PAR) to launch the official standardization process. — Spilios Makris (Palindrome Technologies) will lead this effort. — Study Group will function for 6 months. — The Study group was recommended to be formed out of SDN Standardization meeting held in NJ in Apr’14.

Page 5 of 8 — A CfP has been prepared which includes this Study Group information along with other groups. — Dissemination plan – After approval, IEEE SA will publicize the SG with a possible press release.  [Motion] “Approve the Study Group on Reliability, Security and Performance of Software Defined and Virtualized Ecosystem for a period of 6 months. Request IEEE SA to publicize the information of the Study Group. Appoint Spilios Makris (Palindrome Technologies) as the Chair of the SG.” - Niranth moved and Glen seconded. — [Result] APPROVED by 4-Yes, 1-Abstain.

14. Adjournment  [Motion]: Adjourn the meeting - Niranth moved and Glen seconded. — [Result] APPROVED by acclamation as there were no objections.  Mehmet thanked everyone for participating in the meeting and adjourned the meeting at 9:10 AM AEST.
