THE AUSTRALIAN FILMMAKERS Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner came up with the idea to cross Mad Max with Dawn of the Dead and make the best Aussie zombie movie ever. To realize this idea, they needed money. Together they founded their independent film company Guerilla Films and crowdfunded their entire budget. Kiah Roache-Turner of Guerilla Films will tell us their story of success and how they managed to raise more money than they had even aimed for.

INDEPENDENT PAKISTANI FILMMAKER Afia Nathaniel has worked as a writer, director, producer and editor since she began her carreer ten years ago. During this talk, Afia Nathaniel will tell us about what it was like to make a film in the remote areas of Pakistan during the production of her feature film debut, »Dukhtar«, about a mother and a ten-year-old daughter who leave their home to save the girl from an arranged marriage to a tribal leader.
