INQUIRY CONCERNING PROTECTION FOR NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRY PRODUCING CERTAIN WOVEN POLYESTER AND WARP KNITTED CuRTAIN AND DRESS NET FABRICS Public Hearing 1. Following receipt by the then Minister of Trade and Industry of a report from the Emergency Protection Authority concerning temporary protection from the New Zealand industry producing certain woven polyester and warp knitted curtain and dress net fabrics, the Minister notified the Tariff and Development Board in a letter dated 3 April 1975 that the Authority had concluded that urgent action was necessary to protect the local industry and that the most suitable means of providing this protection was by way of import licensing. The Minister has requested the Commission to undertake an inquiry and report on what permanent form of protection, if any, it con­ siders necessary to protect the New Zealand industry in relation to the importation of certain woven polyester and warp knitted curtain and dress net fabrics classified within the above-mentioned Tariff items. 3. For the purpose of taking evidence the Commission will hold a public hearing in the Hearing Room, Eighth Floor, Cumberland House, Upper Willis Street, Wellington, commencing on 27 April 1976 at 10.30 a.m. A consolidated list of all the goods under inquiry together with current rates of duty is appended in the Schedule to this notice. 4. Any person who intends to tender evidence should lodge, in typewritten form, 12 copies of public evidence and 10 copies of confidential evidence, to be presented under oath at the public hearing, at the Commission's office no later than 19 March 1976. Licences Issued Under the Animal Remedies Act 1967 (No. 1321 Ag. 6/2/3/1)

PURSUANT to sections 21 (6), 25 (4) and 25 (5) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, the Registrar hereby gives notice that licences have been issued, renewed, or have lapsed as set out in the Schedules hereto. Licences have been issued for animal remedies as set out in Schedule I and are subject to no conditions. Licences have been issued for animal remedies as set out in Schedule II; subject to the conditions: (1) That they are not sold to any person other than a veterinary surgeon, or a dealer, or otherwise than pursuant to the prescription of a veterinary surgeon. (2) That they are not used otherwise than by or under the supervision of a veterinary surgeon. Licences have been renewed for animal remedies as set out in Schedule III; subject to the conditions: (1) That they are not sold to any person other than a veterinary surgeon, or a dealer, or otherwise than pursuant to the prescription of a veterinary surgeon. (2) That they are not used otherwise than by or under the supervision of a veterinary surgeon. Provisional licences have been issued for animal remedies as set out in Schedule IV and are subject to the conditions shown in respect of each product. Those in Schedule V relate to a change of trade name of a licensed remedy. The licences described in Schedule VI have lapsed or been withdrawn by the licensee.
