Brief Resume

Profile Summary

Presently I am working as a Pro Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. After taking over the charge of this position, I initiated efforts to carry out the Academic Audit of the University Departments first time in the history of university and successfully completed it. University five year prospective plan is also successfully prepared where we used the survey data of 15000 stake holders from different sectors as a base. Government of appointed me as a nodal officer for establishment of Saintpith at Paithan. I have taken initiative to establish Skill Development Institutes at Jalna, Maharashtra to promote skill education at university level. Moreover, from past 29 years I am engaged in improvising quality of Higher Education at UG & PG level and wherever I got opportunity to work on various academic committees in the University and other bodies like Senate, Board of Studies, Examination Committee, Research Committee etc. As a part of this mission Deogiri College secure highest CGPA (3.8) in NAAC accreditation 2016 in the entire Maharashtra at that time. I am instrumental for initiating Skill Education Program under PMKVY scheme of central government. I have also taken the initiative to start first Vocational degree program (B. Voc.) in Maharashtra State in Jewellery Design and Gemology at Deogiri College, Aurangabad. As a part of its success, I am working as a technical expert for Gold Cluster, Department of Entrepreneur development, Government of Maharashtra. Also, I established first gem testing laboratory in Aurangabad. Being from rural background, I closely witnessed the gambling associated with uncertain rain and farming. I therefore, decided to tackle this issue with strategic water conservation plans. I am determined to concentrate my research in the field of Hydrogeology and Petrology. I studied various Watersheds, Soil types, Rock Strata & Hydrogeological Characters by using modern technologies like Remote Sensing and GIS based tools for effective watershed development. For past 15 years, I am providing my services to various agencies including Government of Maharashtra for planning effective Watershed Management Programs like Jalayukt Shivar Yojna, Shivkalin Jalsampada etc. These efforts lead to achieve maximum success in government schemes to minimize water scarcity and provide potable water to rural communities of Maharashtra state. For reference, Sandas Village of Tq. Kalamnuri, Dist. Hingoli, GP-10 Watershed of Aurangabad District & Sindkhedraja Watershed of District are the most successful schemes I consulted; where the issue for drinking water is permanently resolved.

Educational Qualifications

I completed my Masters studies in Geology with merit from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad (1989), followed by Ph.D. in Geology (2002). Being passionate for the teacher’s profession, I obtained the degree in education (B.Ed, 1991).
