With all wisdom and insight 9he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will, 12so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory. At the end the reader says: This is the word of the Lord All Thanks be to God. 7 We stand to sing the Gradual Song Lord I lift your name on high; Lord I love to sing your praises. I'm so glad you’re in my life; I'm so glad you came to save us. You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross, my debt to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky, Lord I lift your name on high. Rick Founds Gospel Reading Matthew 28:16-20 Hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Matthew, Chapter 28 All Glory to you, O Lord. Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ This is the Gospel of the Lord. All Praise to you, O Christ. Sermon 8 Prayers of Intercession The following response may be used Lord, in your mercy All hear our prayer. And at the end Merciful Father, All accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen. All are invited to exchange a sign of peace. 9 Preparation of the Table Taking of the Bread and Wine During the hymn the bread and wine are brought to the altar. 1 Be still and know that I am God, be still and know that I am God, be still and know that I am God. 2 I am the Lord that healeth thee, I am the Lord that healeth thee, I am the Lord that healeth thee. 3 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust, In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust, In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust. Anon after Psalm 46:10 The president takes the bread and wine. To you we come, Father of lights, with angels and saints, where heaven and earth unite. May Jesus meet us in the breaking of the bread. All Amen. The Eucharistic Prayer Please remain standing for the Eucharistic Prayer The Lord is here. All His Spirit is with us. Lift up your hearts. All We lift them to the Lord. 10 Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. All It is right to give thanks and praise. It is indeed right, our duty and our joy that we should always sing of your glory, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. For you are the hope of the nations, the builder of the city that is to come. Your love made visible in Jesus Christ brings home the lost, restores the sinner and gives dignity to the despised. In his face your light shines out, flooding lives with goodness and truth, gathering into one in your kingdom a divided and broken humanity. Therefore with all who can give voice in your creation we glorify your name, for ever praising you and saying: All Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Lord, you are holy indeed, the source of all holiness; grant that by the power of your Holy Spirit, and according to your holy will, these gifts of bread and wine may be to us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ; 11 who, in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks; he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.
