Our ambition is to create great food that is up-to-date and requested by the consumers. Orkla Foods Sweden has a long tradi- tion of food and the craftsmanship behind it. We often say that we are creating thoughtful and honest food. This means, first and foremost, care about the raw materials and it applies to everything from Swedish cucumbers, beets and potatoes to the unique autumn herring that is caught only for a few weeks at Lofoten in Norway. The honesty means that we are actively working to contribute to human health and wellbeing. ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE ISSUES Our ambition is to be an imortant part of the society of sustainability. This means that we are actively working to reduce the negative impact on the environment and climate. A conscious use of resources (both our own and others) governs everything we do and it applies to raw materials and packaging as well as energy and water. The goal is always to contribute to sustainable agriculture and fisheries. KNOWLEDGE BASED We actively research and strive to improve the nutritional content of existing products and at the same time develop new nutritional products. For this work, we collaborate with universities and have close contact with dietitians and other experts. POLICIES We use the Swedish nutrition recommendations, as well as our own nutritional policy, as a base for our work. We also work according to the Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC) and Orkla Foods Food Safety Standard, both of which are based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) regarding food security. We fulfill the Environmental Management Council’s criteria for animal products in terms of livestock. They are even called ”Super Lunch”. Or maybe you would prefer fish? Thai? Goulash? Organic Tomato & Grilled Pepper? Like we just said, there is wide variation to choose from. The large variation also applies to the other products within our range of ready meals. Choose between pizza, pie, pasta, Indian and Thai in all shapes and sizes.
