Conferences: • RMA out did itself again! For two years in a row, we have broken our conference record. We had 455 attendees at RMA 2018 in Aurora, Colorado, 86 of which were First Timers! Fishing, a scenic train ride and golfing were our networking events. CU Anschutz/Denver was our host and they planned a fun theme night outing at Top Golf in Centennial. • RMA will be hosting its 2019 annual conference and technical sessions in Banff, Alberta Canada, September 16-18, 2019 – hosted by University of Calgary. This will be another beautiful location for a conference!

State Chapters • The Colorado Chapter of APPA (COAPPA) has it’s third annual conference planned for April 11 and 12th, 2019 in Colorado Springs, CO. • COAPPA and UCCS hosted a Lunch N Learn session on “Minimizing Risk and Improving Resiliency through Long-Term Capital Planning” November 2018. • Wyoming APPA (WYAPPA) hopes to have another successful event this summer. • Arizona APPA – AZAPPA is formed and has hosted three mixers was hosted each with approximately 40-60 attendees and has elected their new officers. Scheduling first state conference in July 2019. • Idaho is also looking at creating a state chapter.

Professional Development • University of Arizona started a second round with Tracks 1-3 being completed in 2018 and Track 4 scheduled for 2019 • University of Colorado Boulder hosted Track 1 of the Leadership Academy in October 2018 • University of Colorado Anschutz/Denver is hosting Track 2 in March 2019  Through a partnership between CU Anschutz/Denver and CU Boulder, plans are in place for hosting Track 3 in October 2019 and Track 4 in March 2020. • RMA hosted Supervisor Toolkit trainings since July 2018  Idaho State Univ. – August 2018  Regina, Canada - Nov. 2018  Denver, CO – March 2019 • University of Arizona has hosted 14 APPA/RMA webinars in 2018. • Toolkit trainers – goal set to have them each train at least once or twice a year to keep their trainer skills in good shape. • Drive In Workshops – CSU and U of A each hosted one in 2018

Credentialing • 12 members obtained their CEFP in 2018 • 8 member obtained a EFP in 2018

Awards • RMA has continued to excel with Award for Excellence recipients. Over the past six years, RMA has had at least one institution that has achieved the highest institutional award from APPA, the Award for Excellence. 14ers Mentoring Program • The program has continue to increase its membership in mentoring for both the climbers looking to achieve the 14er level and those who have achieved the 14er level and participating in mentoring others. The current membership is now at 90 14ers and 67 climbers.

RMA Board actions • Bylaw and Strategic Plans updated • Awarded RMA 2019 conference registrations to four of our RMA 2018 First Timers • RMA Business Partners awarded four RMA 2019 registrations to bingo winners. • Awarded 10 full scholarships to APPA U to it members • Increased rebate to institutions for hosting Academy on Campus from $100 to $200 per attendee. • Updated Board Members Duties document for assisting with recruitment • Added a “Member at Large” to the Board giving the President flexibility in moving initiatives forward. • Continues to financially support the Mexico initiative.
