Not only is he the centrepiece of God’s garden, but the repeated invitation to ‘abide in me’ encourages Jesus’ audience, and us, to make him the centre of our lives. After all, here is the source of life and fruitfulness for every branch. There is no other connection to the root than Jesus himself.

Even so it would seem some of these branches are not fruit- ful. They are ‘pruned’, ‘wither’ and are eventually ‘gathered’ and ‘burned’.

Jesus talks straight towards the end: ‘My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.’ Crystal clear and plain talk. Wednesday Evenings This is a story about becoming Jesus’ disciples. It is about Beavers (6 to 8 yrs) meet from 6.00 to 7.15pm glorifying God with our lives. It is about the possibility of Cubs (8 to 10yrs) meet from 7.15 to 8.30pm connecting with Jesus Christ and the fruit that results.

Friday Evenings Scouts (10 to 14yrs) meet from 7 to 9pm How connected are you to Jesus?

Yours in him, If you require any further information please contact Wendy Revd Mark (07835587699).

Mr Desmond Quigley late of Bovevagh Road, Burnfoot, Dungiven

The girls and I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to everyone for helping us through the loss of my husband and their Dad, Desmond. We especially wish to thank Revd Mark for his continuous pastoral support and care throughout Desmond's illness. We were truly blessed with your prayers, visits to our home, cards, words of encouragement, phone calls, love and support during this time. A special thanks to the Catering Team and all those who so generously provided and served food for our family and friends after the thanksgiving service, it was deeply appreciated. We were told by many who attended that we have exceptional bakers in our congregation! We are also so grateful to all those within our church family who assisted in the service in many ways; by playing and selecting music, sound and vision, ushering our family and friends to their seats and making them feel welcomed. It is difficult to thank everyone Individually, therefore we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a gesture of our sincere thankfulness. Desmond very much loved his church and his church family and will be very much missed by us. ______With much thanks, Kathleen, Hilary, Noeleen, Irene & Barbara The Puppets on A Mission Team would like to thank all who enabled the One Way UK Puppet Training Day on 15th September.
