The Off-Street Parking (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013

Made - - - - 5th June 2013 Coming into operation - 26th June 2013

The Department for Regional Development(a) makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 13(1), (2), (14) and (15) of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997(b) and now vested in it(c).

The Department has consulted such persons as the Department considered appropriate in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 4 to that Order.

The Department has published a notice in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 3 of that Schedule.

No written objection or other representation has been received.

Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as The Off-Street Parking (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013 and shall come into operation on 26th June 2013.

Amendment 2.—(1) The Off Street Parking Order (Northern Ireland) 2000(d) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (4). (2) Schedule 1 shall be amended by— (a) the substitution for item no. 180A of the item specified in Schedule 1 to this Order. (b) the addition of item nos. 390, 391, 392 and 393 as specified in Schedule 2 to this Order. (c) the deletion of item no. 311 relating to Townhall Street East, Newtownstewart and item no. 355 relating to Branch Road, Strabane.

(3) Schedule 3 (parking places in which the consumption of intoxicating liquor is prohibited) shall be amended by — (a) the addition of Tullybryan Road, Ballygawley; Magherafelt Road, Castledawson; Tobermore Link Road, Maghera and Crevenagh Road, Omagh. (b) the deletion of the item relating to Townhall Street East, Newtownstewart. (4) For Schedule 4 substitute the Schedule set out in Schedule 3 to this Order.

5 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the Off-Street Parking Order (Northern Ireland) 2000 (“the Order”) by:– (a) removing the words “public service vehicle” from column 2 in item 180A of Schedule 1 to the Order; (b) substituting a new scale of charges in item 324 of Schedule 1 to the Order; (c) adding to Schedule 1 to the Order the car parks specified in Schedule 2 to this Order; (d) deleting items 311 and 355 relating to Townhall Street East, Newtownstewart and Branch Road, Strabane from Schedule 1 to the Order; (e) adding to Schedule 3 to the Order the items relating to Tullybryan Road, Ballygawley; Magherafelt Road, Castledawson; Tobermore Link Road, Maghera and Crevenagh Road, Omagh; (f) deleting from Schedule 3 to the Order the item relating to Townhall Street East, Newtownstewart; and (g) substituting Schedule 4 to the Order to add the items relating to Tullybryan Road, Ballygawley; Magherafelt Road, Castledawson; Tobermore Link Road, Maghera and Crevenagh Road, Omagh.
