  • Impreza World Soundtrack Awards W Gandawie Stała Się Inspiracją Dla Powstania Podobnych W Całej Europie

  • ABSTRACT Title of Document: COMMUNICATING FEAR in FILM
ABSTRACT Title of Document: COMMUNICATING FEAR IN FILM MUSIC: A SOCIOPHOBIC ANALYSIS OF ZOMBIE FILM SOUNDTRACKS Pedro Gonzalez-Fernandez Master of Arts, 2014 Directed By: Dr. Patrick Warfield, Musicology The horror film soundtrack is a complex web of narratological, ethnographic, and semiological factors all related to the social tensions intimated by a film. This study examines four major periods in the zombie’s film career—the Voodoo zombie of the 1930s and 1940s, the invasion narratives of the late 1960s, the post-apocalyptic survivalist fantasies of the 1970s and 1980s, and the modern post-9/11 zombie—to track how certain musical sounds and styles are indexed with the content of zombie films. Two main musical threads link the individual films’ characterization of the zombie and the setting: Othering via different types of musical exoticism, and the use of sonic excess to pronounce sociophobic themes. • Chapter I Introduction
CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION A. Background of Study Language is as one of important aspect in this life. In addition, a language is our intimate friend from the past and the future because a language is how the way a human being send a message to their partner or between humans. We can easily communicate with other people in getting the best interactions by using language. Badadu said that langugae is “Interest, opinion, intelligence, mind, spoken, speech, and babbling” (Badadu & Mahmud, 1996). There are various languages in the world that have been created by Allah, one of them is English. English is used for many purposes around the world. Especially in Indonesia there are many reasons why it is important to learn. The most common reason is because of its role as a language of international communication. It is used in various aspects, such as in transportation, commerce, banking, tourism, and education. Language is the most important thing for human being as a means of communication instrument in community, as a symbol of sound which is produced by human beings instrument of utterance. 1 2 The use of English is in accordance with the aim of creating language as stated in the Holy Qur’an in the Al-hujarat verse 13 as follows : It can be understood from this verse that Allah creates many different human and nations with different cultures in the world.

  • Robfreeman Recordingramones
Rob Freeman (center) recording Ramones at Plaza Sound Studios 1976 THIRTY YEARS AGO Ramones collided with a piece of 2” magnetic tape like a downhill semi with no brakes slamming into a brick wall. While many memories of recording the Ramones’ first album remain vivid, others, undoubtedly, have dulled or even faded away. This might be due in part to the passing of years, but, moreover, I attribute it to the fact that the entire experience flew through my life at the breakneck speed of one of the band’s rapid-fire songs following a heady “One, two, three, four!” Most album recording projects of the day averaged four to six weeks to complete; Ramones, with its purported budget of only $6000, zoomed by in just over a week— start to finish, mixed and remixed. Much has been documented about the Ramones since their first album rocked the New York punk scene. A Google search of the Internet yields untold numbers of web pages filled with a myriad of Ramones facts and an equal number of fictions. (No, Ramones was not recorded on the Radio City Music Hall stage as is so widely reported…read on.) But my perspective on recording Ramones is unique, and I hope to provide some insight of a different nature. I paint my recollections in broad strokes with the following… It was snowy and cold as usual in early February 1976. The trek up to Plaza Sound Studios followed its usual path: an escape into the warm refuge of Radio City Music Hall through the stage door entrance, a slow creep up the private elevator to the sixth floor, a trudge up another flight

  • Leksykon Polskiej I Światowej Muzyki Elektronicznej
Piotr Mulawka Leksykon polskiej i światowej muzyki elektronicznej „Zrealizowano w ramach programu stypendialnego Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego-Kultura w sieci” Wydawca: Piotr Mulawka [email protected] © 2020 Wszelkie prawa zastrzeżone ISBN 978-83-943331-4-0 2 Przedmowa Muzyka elektroniczna narodziła się w latach 50-tych XX wieku, a do jej powstania przyczyniły się zdobycze techniki z końca XIX wieku m.in. telefon- pierwsze urządzenie służące do przesyłania dźwięków na odległość (Aleksander Graham Bell), fonograf- pierwsze urządzenie zapisujące dźwięk (Thomas Alv Edison 1877), gramofon (Emile Berliner 1887). (śpiew ptaków, hałas uliczny, rozmowy) i próbował je przekształcać. Tak powstała muzyka nazwana konkretną (fr. musigue concrete). W tym samym roku wyemitował w radiu „Koncert szumów”. Jego najważniejszą kompozycją okazał się utwór pt. „Symphonie pour un homme seul” z 1950 roku. W kolejnych latach muzykę konkretną łączono z muzyką tradycyjną. Oto pionierzy tego eksperymentu: John Cage i Yannis Xenakis. Muzyka konkretna pojawiła się w kompozycji Rogera Watersa. Utwór ten trafił na ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu „The Body” (1970). Grupa Beaver and Krause wprowadziła muzykę konkretną do utworu „Walking Green Algae Blues” z albumu „In A Wild Sanctuary” (1970), a zespół Pink Floyd w „Animals” (1977).
