Com uma voz cheia de alma e uma energia contagiante, Rita tem deixado o público rendido vez após vez, seja através dos seus discos, seja através dos seus espetáculos. A cantora nasceu na cidade de Pristina, ex-Jugoslávia e atual Kosovo, mas mudou-se para Inglaterra com a família quando tinha apenas um ano de idade. Cresceu no bairro de Nothing Hill, nos arredores da Portobello Road, onde foi alimentando o sonho de vir a ser a artista que é hoje. Começou a cantar desde muito cedo e aperfeiçoou essas suas capacidades em pubs e, mais especificamente, em noites de microfone aberto.
