he Associated Newspaper Register assists the ABA in monitoring compliance with the Tcross-media provisions of the Act. Under the Act, a person must not be in a position to exercise control of both a commercial television licence and a commercial radio licence which have the same licence area. Similarly, a person must not be in a position to exercise control of a commercial tel­ evision licence, or a commercial radio licence, and a newspaper associated with the licence area of such a licence.
