Du kan ta deg fram til fots eller på sykkel. Eller med barne- vogn og hund om du vil. Her finner du Koigen nærmiljøanlegg, museums- området Domkirkeodden med Hamardomen og Norsk Jernbanemuseum. Langs hele promenaden er det fine strender, ulike naturmiljøer og det er bygg med spennende arkitektur. Underveis vil du finne benker, steiner og brygger du kan hvile deg på. Lyset, stemningen og variasjonene i land- skapet må bare oppleves – uansett vær og årstid. Pilegrimsleden til Nidaros går også gjennom Hamar. En led går langs Strandpromenaden forbi Domkirkeodden og videre over Furuberget. Leden er skiltet med nasjonale symboler. (En alternativ led går forbi Vikingskipet og Åker gård på Ridabu.)
