Dear Friends,

In addition to all of the material we have on our OMC Website I thought I would set out some of the other opportunities we have to feel part of the Connexion of Methodist Church in Ireland.

Drive in Worship on the Circuit from Sunday 31 May 2020 – Pentecost Sunday

10am at Mayne

11am at Omagh

12 noon at Togherdoo

I will be leading each of these “Drive-ins”

Then on the Methodist Church in Ireland Website each Sunday there is a Service of Worship (recorded in advance).

This Sunday for Pentecost it goes live at 9.30am with the Rev Philip Agnew, District Superintendent of the new North District, but it can be watched at a later time too. You will find in on the irishmethodist.org Website under the heading Church at Home – LINK - https://t.co/8HiPnpQjso?amp=1

Also remember that there is the IMYCD (Irish Methodist Youth and Children’s Department) section of irishmethodist.org – where our young people can explore what is available online for children.

Then this Sunday the Morning Worship Service at 10:15am on Radio Ulster is led by the Rev Janet Unsworth, Principal of Edgehill Methodist Theological College. Again if you are at a Drive-in you can catch the podcast at a later time.

Another point of interest is that the Installation of the New President, Rev Tom McKnight, will take place in the Presbyterian Assembly Halls in Belfast at 7pm on June 10th - plenty of space for social distancing for the relatively few who will actually be there.

Probably not many of our folk will have had the opportunity to attend an Installation of a President of the MCI and this would be an opportunity for folk to watch it online from the comfort of their homes. I anticipate further details will be circulated to ministers and I will provide further information before that date.

And finally, remember every Sunday at 4pm Rev Mark Templeton has his Encouragers Club broadcast on WhatsApp and also now on Youtube. The link is also loaded onto the OMC Website on the Sunday Night / Monday morning if you miss it on the Sunday.

Mark’s posting on Youtube is a recent development – simply put Reverend Mark Templeton into your search facility on Youtube to connect. Great to watch on the big screen of the TV.
