Area Summary Bedfield is a village and civil parish in Mid Suffolk, 4 miles north-east of Debenham and around 5 miles north-west of Framlingham. The village is broadly split between the two settlements of Bedfield in the north and Bedfield Little Green in the south. There are a number of outdoor spaces and facilities in Bedfield. In the main village there is a large sports field with an adjoining tennis court and a children’s play park just off the main road. In the south of the parish you will also find the home ground of Worlingworth Cricket Club. The playing field in the centre of Bedfield (a facility shared with neighbouring Monk Soham) also houses a pavilion building. As well as providing changing facilities, the pavilion hosts a number of local events and groups throughout the year. Bedfield retains a small primary school that caters for around 50 pupils. In the wider parish you will find two active churches as well as a long established local pub which has roots that go back as far as 1480.
