| Senior Citizens Center It’s a circus ‘Under the Big Top’ Senior Center hosts annual prom

By TAYLOR NYE [email protected]

Bearded ladies, lion tamers and fortune tellers. Al- though you would usually find this cast of characters at a three ring circus, this past Saturday they all converged at the Sulphur Springs Senior Center for the annual senior citizen prom.

The whole circus crew (from left) are Al Bass, Deanna Hasten, Betty Holden, Patsy Crist, Nancy Bolton and Lavonne Elam.

Betty Holden prepares to walk the tightrope. Above, clown Mary Ivey was in attendance.

From left, Tina Bursby, Linda Crowder and Jay Copeland serve dinner. Ringmaster Al Bass corrals the crowd.

Above, king George Weth- erby and queen Yvonne Rollins celebrate their crowning.

Ferocious lion Deanna Hasten growls at the camera. Patsy Crist as Cricket the Clown dances to “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.”
