    Oct. 23, 2019 For Immediate Release Raiders Sign DE Kasim Edebali ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed DE Kasim Edebali, the club announced Wednesday. Edebali, a 6-foot-2, 253-pound defensive end, joins the Raiders for his sixth year in the NFL after entering the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent and spending his first three seasons (2014-16) with the New Orleans Saints. Edebali would go on to spend the 2017 campaign with the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions and most recently appeared in action with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018. Over his career, Edebali has appeared in 62 contests and made two starts, logging 49 tackles (36 solo), eight sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Edebali has appeared in 16 contests in three different campaigns and set a single- season career high of five sacks in 2016 with the Saints. Edebali played his collegiate ball at Boston College, appearing in 49 contests and totaling 166 tackles (88). 11 sacks, 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Additionally, the Raiders have signed OL Kyle Kalis to the team’s practice squad. Kalis is a 6-foot-4, 306-pound offensive lineman that entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2017. He appeared in three games for the Indianapolis Colts that season after being claimed by the club from the Redskins. Last season, the former Michigan Wolverine appeared in four games with the Cleveland Browns. .

    Kasim Edebali unterschreibt bei den Chicago Bears Kasim Edebali landet beim nächsten NFL Team. Der 28-jährige Deutsche kommt bei den Chicago Bears unter und landet somit bei seinem mittlerweile sechsten Team in der NFL. Bislang kann der Deutsche auf 48 Spieleinsätze in seiner Karriere zurückblicken. Während seiner ersten drei Jahre bei den Saints verpasste er nie ein Spiel, und während dieser Zeit konnte er acht Sacks landen. Die ersten beiden Sacks seiner Karriere gelangen ihm als Rookie gegen die Green Bay Packers. 2014 startete der ungedraftete Free Agent seine Karriere bei den New Orleans Saints. In der vergangenen Saison spielte er 9 Spiele für die Denver Broncos, wurde aber nach neun Spielen entlassen. Danach landete er für 4 Spiele bei den Detroit Lions und für eine Woche bei den Los Angeles Rams, danach kehrte er dann zu den Saints zurück, mit denen er die Saison beendete. Doch auch die Saints verlängerten seinen Vertrag nicht. In Chicago trifft Edebali auf seinen ehemaligen General Manager Ryan Pace, der ihn 2014 zu den Saints holte. Es wird spannend mitanzusehen, wie Edebali beim Training Camp des Teams abschneiden kann. Kasim Edebali ist wieder zurück bei den Saints Kasim Edebali beendet seine diesjährige NFL-Rundreise dort, wo seine NFL-Karriere 2014 begonnen hat. Vor einer Woche hatten wir uns noch für Kasim Edebali gefreut, dass er mit den Los Angeles Rams einen Arbeitgeber gefunden hat, der ihn mit in die diesjährigen Playoffs nimmt. Doch nur eine Woche nach der Verpflichtung, haben die Rams Edebali auch schon wieder entlassen. Es war also ein mehr als kurzes Gastspiel von dem 28-jährigen Linebacker in Los Angeles.
