The King’s Speech— This Academy-Award winning film tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stammer and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country through war. Featuring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helena Bonham Carter. (PG-13, 118 minutes.)
Toy Story 3— Andy is now seventeen years old and is going to college. His mother presses him to decide the fate of his toys, and Andy decides to leave them in the attic, with the exception of Woody that he intends to bring with him. The rest of the toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they were- n't abandoned and to return home. Featuring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack. (G, 103 minutes.)
Country Strong — A drama centered on a rising country-music songwriter (Beau Hutton) who sparks with a fallen star (Kelly Canter). Together, they mount his ascent and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband/manager (James Can- ter) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Chiles Stanton). Featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, and Leighton Meester. (PG-13, 117 minutes).
