ITW Mr Wang Anshun (Mayor of Beijing - President of Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee) “The second reason is that today the IOC announced that we have submitted our candidature file. The candidature file is the most important part of our bid. The candidature file represents the city's "master plan" for organising the based on the requirements of the IOC and supported by the President, it is our agenda for 2022. It shows our vision and ideas for Beijing outlining and including important issues such as financing, venues, transportation and security for the 2022 Games. In the candidature files are the statements, declarations and commitments that have been pledged to the IOC. They are legally-binding. Every word given by Beijing to the IOC will be honoured in full. So the presentation of the candidature files represents an important milestone in our bid. We are now busy preparing for the visit of the evaluation committee to Beijing. The importance of running athletes’ centred, economical and sustainable Games will be well represented in the bidding and the organisation of the Games in 2022" ITW Mr Liu Peng (Minister of General Administration of Sport of – President of the Chinese Olympic Committee) “Remember what I have just said.
