2 Staffing Junior Campus Ms Aloma Williams (pictured right) It is with sadness we farewell Ms Aloma Williams who has been with us for five years as Deputy Principal at the Junior Campus. Ms Williams is passionate about learning and she has a wealth of experience and passion for 21st century teaching. She has been key in the introduction of Bring Your Own Device to our school, leading teachers and students through the use of devices as a learning tool. Ms Williams was involved in a wide range of activities and interests in her time here. She helped run Travellers workshops; working with students on their wellbeing, and ran the Chess Club encouraging our students to take part in local and National competitions. She has greatly raised the profile of Girls’ Rugby at Hargest and is determined to continue to have contact with Hargest’s girls’ rugby teams. The Junior Campus productions benefited greatly from Ms Williams’ input, with the staging of our version of Shrek being particularly memorable. Ms Williams has a gift of building strong relationships with students and colleagues alike and worked closely with parents of our students to get the best outcomes for them. Her colourful stories and talent in storytelling will be missed in our assemblies and in the staffroom. We wish her all the best in her new venture as Principal of Woodlands School.

Mrs Kristine Simpson We will welcome Kristine Simpson, the new Deputy Principal at Junior Campus, at the start of Term Four, and we will feature her in the next newsletter. Mrs Simpson has taught for a number of years at Year 7 and 8 level at schools in Auckland and and has considerable experience in leadership. She is a very sporty person and enjoys playing, coaching and watching most codes with intensive involvement in managing and coaching Netball. We look forward to having Kristine Simpson on the team.
