Information for Coach Drivers, Group and Tour Guides Information for coach drivers, group and tour guides Please take a moment to read through this information, which tells you everything you need to know about our boat trips, group transport and group discounts, and provides valuable advice for your visit. Special information for your group trip with Chiemsee-Schifffahrt Boats depart all year round from Prien/Stock and Gstadt for Herreninsel and Fraueninsel. Please register groups of 100 or more in advance, stating your preferred departure time, via e-mail to [email protected]. This helps us to organise the boat movements. We are unable to reserve seats. Tickets can be purchased from the regional ticket offices (Prien/Stock and Gstadt) and on all the boats. We only accept payment by cash or voucher. We apply a group discount for groups of 20 or more full-paying passengers. There is a large coach park in Prien/Stock (right next to the harbour). Information about parking charges can be found here. Toilets (including disabled facilities) are located in Prien/Stock right next to the ticket office at the harbour. Duration of boat tours on selected routes: Prien/Stock – Herreninsel ca. 15 minutes Prien/Stock – Fraueninsel ca. 30 minutes Herreninsel – Fraueninsel ca. 10 minutes Gstadt – Fraueninsel ca. 10 minutes Island Tour West (Trip to both islands. Departs from Prien, Gstadt or Bernau): ca. 1,5 h Island Tour East (Only available during the summer timetable. Trip to both islands. Departs from Seebruck, Chieming or Übersee. It may sometimes be necessary to change boats.): ca. 1,5 h Grand Chiemsee Tour (Only available during the summer tameable. It may sometimes be necessary to change boats.): ca. 2,5 h On every tour, you may interrupt your journey as many times as possible and continue later on another boat. General information about Chiemsee Railway Travel to Lake Chiemsee by steam train: a steam train has been covering the 1.8 km route from Prien station to Prien/Stock harbour since 1887. The train operates from around mid-May until around mid-September. During the early season (from 1 May until mid-May) and late season (mid-September until mid-October), the train only runs on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Tickets for the palace are available at the infocenter on the island near the pier.. The Royal Palace is about a 20-minute walk from the pier on Herreninsel. There is a horse-drawn carriage from April to October. Restaurants: Schlosswirtschaft near the pier (www.herrenchiemsee-schlosshotel.de) and a café in the palace (www.schlosscafe-herrenchiemsee.de). Information for Fraueninsel Main attractions on Fraueninsel are the monastery, campanile (a free-standing bell tower), monastery shop, island cemetery and the Carolingian gatehouse. In the romantic fishing village there are restaurants and shady beer gardens . A walk round the idyllic island takes about 30 minutes. Hier legen die im Jahr 2019 ein­ gerichteten Wasser­Radlwege Oberbayern ihre schönsten acht Kilometer in die Land­ schaft. Doch schon bald ist es vorbei mit dem Radlgenuss. Er ist ein freiwilliger Zusammenschluss von rund 150 Städten, Märkten und Gemeinden, acht Landkreisen und der Landeshauptstadt München. Der PV vertritt kommunale Interessen und engagiert sich für die Zusammenarbeit seiner Mitglieder sowie für eine zukunftsfähige Entwicklung des Wirtschaftsraums München. Die PV-Mitarbeiter erledigen für die Mitglieder vielfältige Planungs- aufgaben, von Bauleitplänen über Strukturgutachten bis hin zu Schulbedarfsanalysen, und beraten in allen Fragen der räumlichen Entwicklung. Sie erstellen kommentierte statistische Daten und informieren über Fachthemen. Die PV-Veranstaltungen bieten eine Plattform für den Meinungs- und Erfahrungsaustausch.

    Hometown Dynamics Fraueninsel on Lake Chiemsee: Artists’ paradise and place of longing The peaks of the Chiemgau Alps rise majestically to the south-east of the small island of Fraueninsel on Lake Chiemsee. The leaves of the ancient trees sway gently in the wind on the shores of Bavaria’s largest lake – accompanied by the constant splashing of the waves. The shallow banks, small bays and extensive moorland combine to create a picturesque lake landscape like no other. Frauenchiemsee artists’ colony: The mythology of a complete natural idyll For centuries, people have been captivated by the beautiful scenery of Lake Chiemsee. In 1828, four young artists from Munich settled on the secluded little island of Fraueninsel on the lake. This marked the birth of the Frauenchiemsee artists’ colony, which includes sculptors and writers and is one of the oldest and best-known artists’ colonies in Europe. The artists record their longing for perfect beauty on canvas using opulent motifs: the romantic fishermen’s houses of the island, the floral gardens, the decorated houses, the breathtaking natural idylls in the interplay of light and cloud shadows. In this way they use their landscape paintings to spread the mythology of Bavaria around the world. Island pottery: Traditional craftsmanship with a love of detail To this day, artists still live on the secluded, car-free Fraueninsel in the middle of Lake Chiemsee. One of them is Georg Klampfleuthner from the island’s pottery. Founded in the year 1609 to serve the monastery, the pottery has been in his family since 1723, and has been passed down from generation to generation.

    Pressemitteilung 21.05.2021 COVID-19-Lagebericht Der vorliegende Lagebericht soll die aktuelle Situation in Stadt und Landkreis Rosenheim zu Erkrankungen mit dem neuartigen Coronavirus (COVID-19) widerspiegeln. Die Daten beruhen auf den Meldedaten nach dem Infektionsschutzgesetz, die dem Staatlichen Gesundheitsamt Rosenheim bis zum 20.05.2021 24 Uhr vorgelegen haben. Aufgrund von Aktualisierungen kann es zu Veränderungen kommen. Aktuelle Lage: Das Gesundheitsamt Rosenheim weist darauf hin, dass in der Stadt Rosenheim seit 6. Mai und im Landkreis seit 11. Mai ein stetiger und robuster Abwärtstrend des Infektionsgeschehens besteht. Die wichtige Marke von 100 in der 7-Tage-Inzidenz wird gemäß Statistik des Robert Koch- Instituts (RKI) im Landkreis seit 13. und in der Stadt seit 16. Mai unterschritten. Besorgniserregende Varianten: Die besorgniserregenden Varianten des Coronavirus bilden auch in der Region die Mehrzahl der Fälle (im Mai ca. 70 Prozent): Bislang wurden dem Gesundheitsamt 2.826 Fälle einer bestätigten besorgniserregenden Variante gemeldet, wovon 2.820 Fälle auf die britische Variante entfallen. Seit dem letzten Wochenbericht wurden neben 143 Fällen mit der britischen Variante auch erstmalig zwei Fälle mit der indischen Variante (B.1.617.2) gemeldet.
