Let us know what's wrong with this Angels 2018 preview of the Russell James Collector's Edition. Four years ago I launched Angels, a series of fine art and a book of the same name. It was my first time experiencing critical acclaim and having the book become a bestseller. However, this has nothing to do with me and everything to do with the subject. While the title is not a subtle reference to my long history with Victoria's Secret, Angels is not what people might have Out of the name. There were no wings, no sparkling objects, and no one strutted on the runway. The angels were mostly nude portraits of many of the most beautiful women in the world that fascinated us all. Some may suggest that nude photography is the easiest genre, but I think that's the hardest part. Partnering with women in images requires all the creative skills I have (and much more) and a great sense of trust between me and the person I photograph. There is an old saying in the music industry that you have all your life to write your first album and six months to write your second. For my follow-up to Angels (2014), I took four years and needed every bit of that time. Unlike the Angels (2014), Angels Collector's Edition (2018) is very thoughtful and deliberate. I created a unique situation with every person in this book and we cooperated in all respects. I'm excited (and nervous) to introduce this brand new volume. To do this something extraordinary, I limited the books to 1000 copies and used the highest production qualities available in each category. I wanted to create a book that itself is an art object that pays tribute to the amazing women who trusted me. The art exhibition and limited edition book will be presented to a private audience on September 6, exactly four years (almost to this day) from the launch of Angels (2014).
