The client has been taken the opportunity to enhance 2015 New Year\s Eve fire damaged building experience by improving the facilities. The existing systems have been reinstated rather than be upgraded to comply with current regulations unless the respective authorities require such upgrade. The total cost of the major refurbishment project completion about US$ 258 approximately. 17 Icon Bay Tower, Dubai Creek Harbour – Emaar Properties 17 Icon Bay residential tower comprising 43 floors in Dubai Creek Harbour. This development by Emaar properties features one, two, and three-bedroom units will have views of the wildlife sanctuary and will be facing Downtown/Burj Khalifa. Mechanical Inspector - Site Jan 2014 - July 2016 Atkins Middle East Dubai, United Arab Emirates Project Details: NIC Marina City Development, Abu Dhabi – National Investment Corporation Marina City Development is located in Abu Dhabi and is being developed by National Investment Corporation (NIC). The development comprises of 4 residential buildings of B+G+6 a total of 210 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and 67 villas in three different types. The community facilities comprise a gym, prayer rooms, swimming pool; kids play area and yacht yard in addition to different open green areas within the site. Abu Dhabi International Shooting Club-Residential Leisure & Commercial Compound (RLCC), Abu Dhabi – Private Property Management The ADISC-RLCC Project is located in Abu Dhabi and was developed by Private Property Management (PPM). The Project comprises of construction of 385 villas, eight apartment blocks, a community center, leisure facilities and all the associated infrastructure works. The site covers an area of approximately 232,000m2. The Pacific - Al Marjan Island Resort, Ras Al Khaimah – Select Property Pacific Development is located in Ras Al Khaimah and was developed by Select Property. The Project comprises of six apartment blocks, leisure facilities and all the associated infrastructure works. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (CONSULTING SIDE) • Conduct site inspections to assess all the mechanical/plumbing-drainage/FLS related systems works and ensure the installations & testing works are carried out by the contractor is complying with approved method statement, shop drawings, specifications and `relevant standards and authority requirements. • Witnessing of testing and commissioning of all mechanical system to achieve the project design parameters and satisfactory performance of the system. • Review and assisting senior engineers to complete the technical review of vendor sourcing proposals (techno-commercial submittal) in coordination with cost consultant. • Reviewing and assisting senior engineers to complete the shop drawings, material/technical submittal, technical queries and method statement as per contract drawings, project specification, relevant local authority requirements and international standards. • Reviewing the relevant As-Built drawings as submitted by contractor and make sure that given details have been incorporated as per site conditions. • Evaluate the technical capability of the contractors to ensure the competency in carrying out the works. • Manage the service providers/contractors to ensure the works are carried out as per the agreed scope of works. • Ensure the project work complies with the project management plan and program. • Assisting the cost consultant for certification of progress claims in accordance to actual work completion and contractual obligations. • Issuing site observations and non-conformance notice to contractors. Necessary follow up with contractor QA/QC department to ensure effectiveness and full optimization of high quality standards to minimize the non-conformances is being issued. • Execute the snagging & handing over inspection process based on benchmark completion. • Attending progress & technical meetings with the Client, Consultants and Contractors as required. • Liaise with reporting staff, service providers, contractors and Client on a regular basis to resolve any outstanding issues on site. • Address the health & safety concerns observations to the relevant departments. • Necessary meetings with independent third party, material manufacturers and suppliers as required. • Collate the outcomes from other project towards further development of strategy and procedures across the working project. • Participate in the design coordination meeting and share the experience of site execution issues to be considered for future. • Surveying of damaged and non performance MEP services for refurbishment project and develop the reinstatement scope of works, improve and enhancement of existing system to be performed by contractor as per Client requirements. • Identify and meet effectively the requirements and expectations of the Clients. • Perform any other duties as requested by the Head of department, PMC & Client. The Residential building stands 382 m height (92 floors) and the Office tower rises 278 m (60 floors) respectively.
