SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE Repairing the World — Tikkun Olam

THANKS to all who volunteered to help with the Project SHARE dinner held on November 22nd. The din - ner provided a Thanksgiving “family style” meal to nearly 600 homeless men, woman and children. This was the 3rd year that Kol Ami has hosted this dinner. Special thanks to NAN BLANK for organizing the candy bags and to JANE FRIEDBERG, PAUL AND ALL THE MAINTAINANCE STAFF.

EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION- We will be participating for the 5th year with UJA to collect non -perishable food for the Bronx Jewish Community Council Food Pantry. This pantry feeds 2,200 people monthly, a third of whom are children. We will be the sole supplier of food for February. The collection bin will be in the religious school hallway until January 26th. NO GLASS CONTAIN - ERS, PLEASE! Students in grades 7-12 who would like to help organize the collection and/or pack the food for the pantry on Sunday, January 29th can contact Ellie Klein at 472-4617.
