1. Professor K.Saraswathi, HOD of OBG gave a oration on declining sex ration in OGSSI ( obstetric and gynaecological society of south india) in November 2001. 2003-04

2. Dr. G. Sundar, MBBS student 2003-04 batch of our college has been selected under All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination and admitted in the AIIMS, New Delhi in PG course in (MD) Psychiatry. 3. Dr. M. Nandhini Devi, MBBS student 2003-04 batch of our college has been selected under All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination and admitted in the AIIMS, New Delhi in PG course in (MD) Bio-Physics. 4. Dr. Arun Francis. M, MBBS student 2003-04 batch of our college has appeared USMLE at USA and cleared step – I and step – II.

2004-05

5. Dr. J. Satish Kumar, MBBS student 2004-05 batch of our college has been selected under All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination and admitted in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur, in PG course in (MS) ENT.

2006

6. 10 papers were presented by staffs and students of Anatomy department of SBMC&H in 2006 conference at SBMC&H 5 awards were won. 2007 7. Dr. Kiran Madhusudhan, Associate Professor of Microbiology was awarded “Best paper Award” in First State Level Physiology Conference held in Chennai – October 2007.

2008 8. 11 papers were presented by staffs and students of Anatomy department of SBMC&H in the Annual Conference of Association Anatomists, Tamil Nadu held at SRMC, Porur, out of which 8 awards were won – 2008. 9. Professor K.Saraswathi, HOD of OBG received the DAKSHAN award from Madurai obstetrics and gynaecological society (MOGS) in august 2008.

2009

10. 10 papers were presented by MBBS students in the Annual Conference of Association of Anatomists – held at Chettinad Health City on September 12th and 13th 2009. Out of the 10 papers 6 students received Best Paper Awards. 2010

11. Dr. T. Kamal Sheriff, MD, our Director was honoured along with stalwarts in Medical field by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for his note able contribution for Medical Education at Madras Medical College, Chennai – 175th Annual Day celebrations held on 01-03-10. 12. Dr. Jayakar Thomas, Professor & HOD of Dermatology and STD, of our college has become President elect of INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF TELEDERAMATOLOGY (ISTD) at Georgia, USA. in 2010

13. Mr.S.Aravind, 2009-10 Batch, MBBS student has won the second prize at the Essay competition held at Chettinad Medical College on 30th April 2010. 14. Won II Prize by – Dr. Seebu – PG student and Dr. Nagarajan, Assistant Professor of Radio-diagnosis for the poster presentation on “VERTEBROBASILAR DOLICHOECTASIA WITH FACIAL PALSY” at INSTITUTE OF CHITHRAI THIRUNAL – SEP 2010.

15. Won I prize by Dr. Sheebhu, PG student of Radiodiagnosis for the paper presentation on“ A rare case of Intraosseous sacral Schwannoma – ISNR 2010 at National Conference of Indian society of Neuro Radiology, Institute of Chithirai Thirunal, Trivandrum.

16. Won I Prize by Dr. N. Ashwak Ahmed , PG student of Dermatology & STD for the poster presentation on “LYMPHANGIOMA – 2 case reports” at 2nd National Teledermatology Conference in Aug, 2010..

17. Best paper award – II prize won by Dr. Arun Prasad, PG Student of MD (Anaesthesia) “Submental intubation for a case of Lefort fracture planned for ORIF” presented at ISA SOUTH ZONE CONFERENCE HELD AT TRIVANDRUM – during August 2010.

27. DR. M. Rajagopal, Medical Director of SBMCH has received LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at TN. DR. MGR Medical University on 01.07.2011.

28. Dr. Bhuvanamha Devi, Post Graduate of Pathology, 2010-11 Batch has won the “Best Paper Award in “TAPCON’’, CME November 2011 for the Paper “Is Crohns Disease Under Diagnosed in Tuberculosis Endemic Countries?’’.

29. Dr. C. Revathy, 2nd year Post Graduate has won the best paper award at the INCOM international conference of General Medicine conducted by Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital. She has also received SRF from Lady TATA MEMORIAL TRUST during the year 2010-2011.

30. Dr. C. Revathy, 2nd year Post Graduate has also won the best paper award for her paper presentation at Woman Doctor’s Association 2011 Annual conference at MMC.

Gastroentrology has presented scientific poster on Robotic surgery in the 4th Annual Conference of CRSA 2012at Chicago,USA. He has completed his fellowship in minimal invasive and obesity surgery from IRCAD, Taiwan in Jan 2012 37. Dr. G.Sundaresan Prof. Emeritus of Orthopeadics was awarded Life time achievement award by The Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University for his contribution to the medical fraternity 12 May 2012 44. Prof.V.Sathyanarayana MS Ortho , Professor of Orthopaedics got the best doctor award on june 14th 2012. 45. Dr. S.V.Mythili, Professor of Biochemistry, has delivered an invited lecture at the CME on Endocrine Pharmacology conducted by the Institute of Pharmacology, Madurai Medical College on the 18th June 2011 46. Professor K.Saraswathi, HOD of OBG invited for a guest lecture in International Conference on Practical Problems in Labour delivery conducted by OGSSI and FOGSI between 18th and 19th july 2012 held at Sree Ramachandra Medical College on a topic ‘Second Stage cesearean section’. 50. Dr.Nambi gave a guest lecture on “Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder-Whether we are over diagnosing” in psychiatric in Huamin (Thailand) July 2012. 51. Indian Psychiatric society geriatric speciality organized national symposium on 26/08/2012 in which Dr.S.nambi presented a topic “late onset depression”. 52. Dr.Deepak Kumar , Final Year ortho post graduate received BEST DOCTOR AWARD in orthopaedics from Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University on august 4th 2012. 53.
