    Ohebnost zvuku ve filmové tvorbě Davida Lynche Ann Kuznetzova Bakalářská práce 2020 ABSTRAKT Tato práce se zaměřuje na analýzu zvukové tvorby Davida Lynche, především filmové, na příkladu jeho audiovizuálních děl Mazací hlava, Příběh Alvina Straighta, Inland Empire a jejich srovnání. Zabývá se způsobem ztvárnění idejí a určením charakteru zvukové tvorby Davida Lynche. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry je podstatná a v čem spočívá její určující dominantní vlastnost – ohebnost, a také prozkoumat vliv jiných druhů umění, osob, prostředí a událostí, které tvůrce dovedly k vlastnímu uměleckému sebevyjádření prostřednictvím zvuku. Obsahuje také rozhovor se zvukovým inženýrem Johnem Neffem, který se podělil o svoji zkušenost ze spolupráce s Lynchem. The aim is to determine wherein lies – and how major of a role plays – the dominant characteristic of David Lynch’s work, its versatility, as well as to explore how the environment, society, and different fields of art influenced the filmmaker in his own artistic expression through the language of sound. To further help answering those questions, an interview with a sound engineer, John Neff, was conducted, in which he talked about his experience of collaborating with David Lynch on several projects.

Parse tree patterns are superior to lexical patterns used commonly in many previous studies in that they can manage long distance dependencies among words. In addition, the proposed semantic filter, which is a combination of WordNet-based similarity and word embedding similarity, removes parse tree patterns that are semantically irrelevant to the meaning of a target relation. According to our experiments using the DBpedia ontology and Wikipedia corpus, the average accuracy of the top 100 parse tree patterns for ten relations is 68%, which is 16% higher than that of lexical patterns, and the average accuracy of the newly extracted triples is 60.1%. These results prove that the proposed method produces more relevant patterns for the relations of seed knowledge, and thus more accurate triples are generated by the patterns. Using the record‘s title as their alias they released their one and only album in 1996 to widespread indifference and occasional disdain. By JOHN BITTLES Yet those who were willing to spend the time and effort discovered a wonderful and compelling LP that would go on to become a much-loved part of their lives. Tim’s passionate vocals work perfectly with Angelo’s spacious strings to create something spiritual and transcendent, something which has more meaning than mere pop music should. After spending the 80s struggling for sales and recognition, the advent of baggy, and the catchiness of top10 hit Sit Down saw Tim Booth’s band James enter the public consciousness. From that point on they rode a wave of commercial success and media adoration. In 1993 the Laid album helped the group reach the pinnacle of their career. Yet, Laid’s (in many ways superior) sister LP and follow-up Wah Wah, released the following year and produced by Brian Eno, saw James enter strange and aurally thrilling electronic waters. It didn’t sit well with the increasingly lairy indie scene and was critically maligned by a lads’ mag culture unprepared for its sedate and experimental grooves.
