Firstly our Faction Swimming Carnival with Trayning was held at Trayning on Friday 9th March, followed by the DISA Swimming Carnival at Mukinbudin on Tuesday 13th March. We have also been honing up our cricket skills in preparation for our visit from the Regional Cricket Coach on Thursday and then the T20 Blast Cup at Bencubbin next Monday 26th March. (Senior students only). In the week before Easter (Wednesday) we have a visit to Trayning for the Challenge. Please see details below and Circus Permission Notes will follow shortly. Circus Challenge at Trayning Wednesday 11th April. On Wednesday 11th April, we will be setting off to Trayning Primary School to join with their students for the 2018 Circus Challenge. We will leave the school at 9am on Mr Geraghty’s bus. Cost is $5 per student. Please send payment to school as soon as possible.  Permission slips come home shortly.  Students are required to wear School Uniform.

1) THE SHOW For 45mins students will be drawn into a world where anything and everything is possible! Super Hero teachers performing outrageous stunts. Students performing , , and routines that will amaze. The unique blend of circus, comedy and object lessons will connect students in a profoundly inspiring and motivating way. The show (and workshops) are presented in such an inclusive manner that it makes the Circus Challenge as appealing to a 17 year old as it is to a 5 year old. The comedy, engagement and relevance of circus is found its unique ability to communicate across boundaries, ages, and languages. 2) THE WORKSHOPS Following the Show students will be pumped up and ready to get active in the hands-on workshops that follow. Students will learn juggling, plate spinning, , twirling , diabolo and loads more in these non-stop, all-inclusive sessions designed to cater for both small and large groups. Each student will be actively engaged with skills, challenges and team work opportunities, meaning no one is standing around waiting for a turn. The aim of the Workshops is to not only develop new skills but each station acts as an object lesson in practice, persistence and cooperative learning. This will be a great follow up to our previous circus experiences!! T20 Blast Cup On Monday 26th March our 6 senior students will be joining with Trayning to compete in the T20 Blast cup at Bencubbin. We will be sharing a bus with Trayning to travel to Bencubbin, but students need to be at school before 8.30am to leave, as we will pick up the Trayning seniors on the way. Permission slips, lunch order forms have already been sent home, so please be reminded that they need to be returned, especially if placing a lunch order. Good luck to the Trayning / Nungarin teams and we wish them an enjoyable day of cricket. Student Update and Information Form As an attachment to this newsletter we have included a “Student Update and Information Form”. It is essential that you read through and check that the information that we hold at school is the most up to date information available for your child/ren. It is also vital that Emergency contacts are current, as children can not be released to people who are not listed on the current contact list. Once you have read through the form, please return the correct information to the school office ASAP.

EASTER Arrangements School will conclude for the Easter break next Thursday 29th March. Parents please note that there is no school for students on Friday 30th March, Monday 2nd April and Tuesday 3rd April. Students return to school on Wednesday 4th April.
