Sie übernimmt die Vorfinanzierung und Dokumentation dieses Gesamtprojektes und bekommt die entstandenen Kosten durch den Ju- gendfond der „Demokratiepartnerschaft Rheda-Wiedenbrük“ aus den Mitteln des Bundespro- gramms „Demokratie leben!“ erstattet. Alle Projektbeteiligten sind sich darin einig, dass den Kin- dern und Jugendlichen keine formalistische Struktur übergestülpt werden soll. Stattdessen lauten die demokratiepädagogischen Kernprinzipien: Die Initiierung und Entwicklung des JUFO soll prozess- und teilnehmerorientiert ablaufen. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen sollen in ihrer Organisationform, Themenwahl und Budgetie- rung so frei wie möglich sein. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen sollen alle Unterstützung erhalten, die sie benötigen. Die Un- terstützungsformate sollen im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten eng mit den JUFO-Mitgliedern konzipiert werden. Die Begleitpersonen (Demokratie-Teamer) bekommen eine Aufwands- entschädigung und sollen bestenfalls ältere Jugendliche bzw. junge Erwachsene sein, die Er- fahrungen in der Konzeption und Durchführung von Projekten haben. Der Aufbau eines fes- ten Pools aus Demokratie-Teamern ist angestrebt. Die Hauptzuständigkeit für das Projekt liegt beim Koordinator. Die Einrichtung etwaiger As- sistenzstellen ist projektbezogen möglich. Ausgehend hiervon hat der Koordinator (nachdem im November 2017 die erste Demokratiekon- ferenz durchgeführt und im Januar 2018 der Begleitausschuss initiiert wurde) Mitte Februar 2018 eine Auftaktveranstaltung für das JUFO organisiert und sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, den weiteren Verlauf schrittweise gemeinsam mit den Kindern und Jugendlichen zu entwickeln. Auf diesem Wege lässt sich die Entwicklung des JUFO für das Jahr 2018 in drei Phasen einteilen: Phase 1: Initiierung durch zwei Tagesworkshops (Februar und März 2018), Phase 2: dezentrale Arbeit in Aktionsgruppen (April bis Juli) Phase 3: Neuausrichtung des JUFO (September bis Dezember) Diese Phasen werden nachfolgend separat beschrieben. Im Fazit werden Strukturelemente für die Verstetigung des JUFO als Ausblick für 2019 und 2020 festgehalten. 4 PHASE I: INITIIERUNG DES JUGENDFORUMS (Februar und März) Die erste Phase bestand im Ganzen aus zwei Tagesseminaren. Die erste Veranstaltung wurde im 14. Februar 2018 von 8:30 bis 14:30 Uhr durchgeführt. Das zweite Tagesseminar fand am 19. März von 10 bis 15 Uhr statt. Ziel dieser beiden Veranstaltungen war es, engagierte Jugendliche aus Rheda-Wiedenbrück zusammen zu bringen, ihnen die Möglichkeit zum Kennenlernen und zum Austausch zu geben, eine intensive schulübergreifende Zusammenarbeit anzustoßen und vor allem die Chancen aufzuzeigen, die das Bundesprogramm „Demokratie leben!“ und speziell das Jugendforum dafür bieten. Nachfolgend wird der Verlauf beider Veranstaltungen skizziert. 1. Tagesseminar: „Zukunft (in) der Demokratie“ Eröffnet wurde das Tagesseminar vom Koordinator Demokrat Ramadani, der den Jugendlichen die Grundzüge des Bundesprogrammes „Demokratie leben!“ als ganzheitlichen Ansatz zur Förde- rung eines vielfältigen, gewaltfreien und demokratischen Miteianders durch Strukturmaßnahmen auf Bundes-, Landes- und Kommunalebene sowie bundesweite Modellprojekte vorgestellt hat. Als nächstes hat der Koordinator das Ziel und die Grundstruktur der „Demokratiepartnerschaft Rheda- Wiedenbrück“ beschrieben, indem er die drei Organe Demokratiekonferenz, Begleitausschuss und Jugendforum mit ihren jeweiligen Aufgabengebieten und finanziellen Ausstattungen dargestellt hat. Abschließend hat Demokrat Ramadani den Schüler*innen den Zusammenhang zwischen ihrer Arbeit als Schülervertreter*innen und dem Ziel des Jugendforums dargelegt. In drei Workshop-Gruppen aufgeteilt, haben die Teilnehmenden sodann eine Zukunftswerkstatt durchgeführt. In Anleitung von sechs Demokratie-Teamern haben sie mit Hilfe der Methode des Biographischen Profils zunächst einmal für sich herausgearbeitet, was sie als Person auszeichnet, wofür ihr Herz schlägt, warum sie an der Auftaktveranstaltung teilnehmen und was sie davon er- warten. Im zweiten Schritt haben sie in Vierergruppen diskutiert, was in ihren Klassen und Jahr- gängen, in der SV und an ihren Schulen sowohl als positiv und negativ erachten. Im dritten Schritt haben die Workshop-Gruppen gesammelt, was in Rheda-Wiedenbrück gut läuft und was noch verbessert werden kann. Die Ergebnisse zu den negativen Aspekten sind auf Karteikarten festge- halten und an Pinnwände angebracht worden. In der Gesamtgruppe wurden die Brainstorming- Resultate aller Workshop-Gruppen ausgestellt. Die Teilnehmenden haben diese dann betrachtet und diskutiert. Abschließend bekamen die Jugendlichen jeweils 12 blaue Klebepunkte, um diese auf die zusammengetragenen Karten verteilen zu können. 5 Zum Schluss haben die Teilnehmenden diskutiert, wie sie nun weiter verfahren wollen. Hier haben sich drei Vorgehensweisen herauskristallisiert: 1) Unter den Anwesenden werden 10 Jugendliche bestimmt, die die Ergebnisse sichten und überlegen, wie die Weiterarbeit aussehen kann. 2) Es wird eine Woche bestimmt, in der sich Montag bis Freitag jeweils die Leute treffen, die an diesen Tagen Zeit haben. In diesen Gruppen werden dann bestimmte Themen aus- gewählt und deren Weiterarbeit vorbereitet. 3) In vier bis sechs Wochen findet ein weiteres Tagesseminar unter Begleitung der Demo- kratie-Teamer und des Koordinators statt. Hier soll die Auswertung der Zukunftswerk- statt gemeinsam erfolgen, um daran anschließend Pläne für das weitere Vorgehen zusam- men zu entwickeln. In einer Abstimmung hat die Mehrheit der Anwesenden für die dritte Variante gestimmt. Zum Schluss wurden die Jugendlichen gebeten, einen Feedbackbogen auszufüllen. Dieser besteht aus vier

They are grouped in this document according to the country of their coordinating organisation. The information presented in the Compendium, such as project data, descriptions of the projects, topics addressed by the partnership, name and address of accepted partner organisations, have been provided by the partnerships at application stage. We hope that the reader will find this Compendium an interesting source of information and will feel inspired to develop new partnerships.

Among such I count the “Corpus Poeticum Boreale” by Dr. Gudbrand Vigfusson and Mr. York Powell; the “Epinal Gloss” and Alfred‟s “Orosius” by Mr. Sweet, for the Early English Text Society; an American edition of the “Beowulf” by Professors Harrison and Sharp; Ælfric‟s translation of “Alcuin upon Genesis,” by Mr. MacLean. To these I must add an article in the “Anglia” on the first and last of the Riddles in the Exeter Book, by Dr. Moritz Trautmann. Another recent book is the translation of Mr. Bernhard Ten Brink‟s work on “Early English Literature,” which comprises a description of thevi Anglo-Saxon period. This book is not new to me, except for the English dress that Mr. Kennedy has given to it. The German original has been often in my hand, and although I am not aware of any particular debt, such as it would have been a duty and a pleasure to acknowledge on the spot, yet I have a sentiment that Mr. Ten Brink‟s sympathising and judicious treatment of our earliest literature has been not only agreeable to read, but also profitable for my work. Doing this issue was nothing but pure joy, as I researched each female goddess I found myself finding some sort of connection with her, that is the most wonderful aspect of the female divine we can connect with so many elements of femininity in each one featured, be it their wisdom, knowledge, honour, strength and so forth. A big thank you to Strega for her piece on Venus xo Each photo used in this issue is also mine, I spend an hour or more every single day outside taking photos’ of the gifts in abundance from mother nature, I highly recommend daily interactions with the outdoors, it grounds me, it heals me, it makes me feel at one so I can for that brief moment block out the real madness that is being shoved down our throats daily!
