The West Midlands region was allocated 53 constituencies under the initial and revised proposals, a reduction of six from the existing allocation. These were: one cross­county constituency between Worcestershire and Warwickshire (Evesham and South Warwickshire), one between Herefordshire and Shropshire (Ludlow and Leominster), one between Herefordshire and Worcestershire (Malvern and Ledbury), and one between West Midlands and Warwickshire (Shirley and Solihull South).
