ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR FOLLOWING NINE COURSES (ACADEMIC SESSION 2021-22)

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

Online applications are invited for admission to the following courses:-

Courses Duration 1) Diploma in Modern Office Practice & Management (MOPM) 3-Years 2) Diploma in 3D Animation & Graphics (3DAG) 2-Years 3) Diploma in Pharmacy (PHARM) 2-Years 4) Post Diploma in Petro Chemical Engineering (PDPC) 18-Months 5) Post Diploma in Medical Electronics (PDME) 18-Months 6) Part Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering 4-years (P/T – ME, EE, CE) (for ST candidates only) 7) Part Time Diploma in Mining Engineering (P/T – MIN) 4-Years 8) Part Time Diploma in Electrical Engineering (P/T – EE) 4-years 9) Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HMCT) 3-Years

** A list is given in Annexure showing the names of the Institution(s) offering the aforesaid courses under affiliation of this Council. However, decision for admission of students, number of seats, number of institutions etc. are subject to the approval of the AICTE & PCI (for Pharmacy only) for the session 2021-22.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen.

1) MOPM: Female candidates who passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Institution are eligible. English must be one of the subject of study at Secondary (10) and Higher Secondary (10+2) level for MOPM course.

2) 3DAG: Female candidates who passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Institution are eligible.

3) Pharmacy: Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination in General Stream Course with , Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics. Candidates passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examinations in Vocational Stream Courses are not eligible for admission, as per prescribed admission eligibility criteria of Pharmacy Council of .

4) PDPC: Passed 3-years Diploma in Chemical Engineering from any Polytechnic recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD) or its equivalent OR B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from a recognized University and must obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in qualifying examination.

5) PDME: Passed 3-years Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Computer Science & Technology / Computer Software Technology / Medical Laboratory Technology from any Polytechnic recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD) or its equivalent OR Bachelor Degree in Science having combination of at least any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Physiology, Zoology or Statistics from a recognized University and must obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in qualifying examination.

6) P/T – ME, EE & CE: Schedule Tribe (ST) Candidates, who passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination are eligible. ST candidates who are citizens of India and domiciled in West Bengal for at least last two years from the date of application are only eligible for admission to these courses.

7) P/T – MIN: The sponsored candidates from M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) should have passed Madhyamik / Secondary / equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and must possess at least 3 years’ post qualification working experience in Mining related jobs as on last date of submission of application.

Application from the following categories of employees working in any mine of ECL would not be considered: (i) Over man, (ii) Mining Sirdar (ii) Surface Worker, (iii) Surveyors or persons working in Survey Department, and (iv) Piece rated worker.

The sponsored candidates from other Mining organisations except M/s Eastern Coalfield Limited should possess:

i) Pass in Madhyamik / Secondary / equivalent examination holding National Trade Certificate (NTC) with one year post qualification working experience in the related field;

OR

ii) Pass in Higher Secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must possess one year post qualification working experience in the related Mining field;

OR

iii) Pass in Madhyamik / Secondary / equivalent examination with Physical Science and Mathematics and three years’ post qualification working experience in the related Mining field.

8) P/T – EE: Passed 10th Standard / SSC examination and 2 Year ITI after 10th Standard. OR Passed 10th Standard / SSC examination and Minimum of two years full time work experience in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational or/and Government / Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is sought shall be eligible to apply. NOC from the employer of a candidate who is currently employed shall be a mandatory requirement. Candidates who are not currently employed, but have two years full time work experience shall be required to submit relevant Experience Certificate.

9) HMCT: Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination with English, Physical Science / Science and Mathematics among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks in aggregate (no rounding up).

AGE: 1) MOPM Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2004 2) 3DAG Candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or 3) Pharmacy (PHARM) before 31st December of the year for admission to the Pharmacy Course. 4) PDPC Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2003 5) PDME 6) P/T – ME, EE, CE Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2006 7) P/T – MIN Not below 19 years as on 01.01.2021 8) P/T – EE Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2004 9) HMCT Date of Birth should not be after 01.07.2006

RESERVATION: Reservation of seats for SC, ST, PC (Physically Challenged or Handicapped) and other category (if any) candidates in Government level Institutes will be as per norms of the Government. Candidates have to produce their original SC, ST, PC or other category (if any) Certificates issued by the Competent Authority of the state of West Bengal at the time of counselling and/or admission. SC/ST candidates of States other than West Bengal will not get the benefit of such reservation.

APPLICATION: Online application portal for admission to the aforesaid courses will be activated on the Council's website www.webscte.co.in on 07.08.2021.

Last date for online application is 31.08.2021.

APPLICATION FEE: Rs. 500/- (For Kanyashree candidates, Rs. 250/-) Applicants for the Part Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering Courses of ICV Polytechnic need not to give any fee.

APPLICATION PROCESS: ONLINE through Council’s website www.webscte.co.in

An applicant should ensure that he/she satisfies the requirements relating to Age Limit, Educational Qualification, etc. before submission of the application. The application will be automatically rejected if a candidate does not fulfil these requirements. Any candidate, found not in full conformity with his/her submitted information at the time of verification of original testimonials, will not be allowed admission even though he/she secures a rank in the merit list. Application will have to be filled-up properly and completely in all respect. No request for subsequent change in information submitted by the candidate will be entertained under any circumstances. The Council is not liable for refusal of admission to a candidate by the institutes even after being merit listed for wrong submission of information by the candidate.

PREPARATION OF MERIT LISTS: The merit lists of all the aforesaid courses will be prepared based on the marks submitted by the candidates through web portal. No subsequent changes in the submitted marks will be entertained in any circumstances. The modalities for preparation of merit lists will be as per order of the government.

RANK CARD: After preparation of merit lists, the applicants can download their Rank Card from the council’s website by providing their application form number.

ADMISSION: Admission of candidates to the Institutions mentioned under Annexure below will be made from the merit listed candidates through centralised / Institute level counselling, either online or offline, depending on the present pandemic situation. Detailed information regarding the programme of counselling and other related matters will be available on the council’s website in due course of time.
