6. Highlights: Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology [MSIT] is one of the pioneering Degree Engineering colleges of West Bengal, India. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MaulanaAbulKalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. Since its establishment in 5th September, 2001, the institute has achieved academic excellence through better teaching and a research oriented approach for the young professionals to prepare for their leadership roles in this competitive world.
The institute provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for facilitating optimum resource allocation to each student in technical education. It is conveniently located, having easy access to bus route, railway station and airport. Top ranked students are admitted here through JEE and JEE (Main) for its engineering programmes; JECA for its MCA programme and GATE/PGET for its M. Tech programmes. Eminently qualified, research minded, dynamic and committed faculty members (many with PhDs) teach students with utmost dedication. Our students have received accolades and awards at various National level Project Competitions and have also presented research papers at National / International conferences religiously. Placement is one of the most encouraging aspect of this institute. Recent placement highlights are: 130 plus companiess visited till date & above 60% students have been placed in different organizations. 75% students got placed at IT & CSE, 5 of our students have been offered above 10 lacs p.a. salary in last year in MNCs like Microsoft, Thoughtworks, Amazon, Open Silicon &Informatica, 52 students have got the job in TCS, 30 students have been offered by CTS, 17 students got placed in LTI & 10 students have been offered by Capgemini.
In this present changed situation the institute is continuing its learning process through Google Classroom, Skype and MAKAUT (affiliating University) provided CISCO Webex meet. Students are submitting their assignments through Google drive and faculties are checking answer scripts through online.
