About Non-Dairy Milk • Day care facilities on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) are required to serve milk that provides the 9 nutrients listed below. • Animal milk (such as cow’s milk and goat’s 1 cup of milk must provide a minimum of: milk) naturally contains these nutrients. • Fortified non-dairy milk that contains these Nutrient Amount % Daily Value (DV) 9 nutrients is allowed with a Physician Calcium 276 mg 28% Statement for Food Substitution form signed Protein 8 g 16% by the child’s physician OR a Non-Dairy Milk Vitamin A 500 IU 10% Request Form signed by the child’s parent.
