The Bandit Buntai This Buntai gives you a wide range of figures that can be used across five of the nine Daishō buntai. From heavily armoured samurai to ashigaru in almost no armour and even a pair of characterful peasants. Note that in Daishō we include the type of lack of a helmet in the armour value.

In reality most ronin and samurai only wore armour when they were expecting trouble or on official or ceremonial duties. These are particularly useful for the Ryu and Kabuki-mono buntai.
