Dopo una “lunga chiacchierata” con il presidente della Repubblica sono state cambiate alcune carte in tavola: il vulnus era la giustizia. Orlando – notoriamente garantista – è stato spostato dall’Ambiente alla Giustizia e Galletti “dirottato” dall’Agricoltura all’Ambiente. Con “ripescaggio” di Maurizio Martina. Tanto più che i numeri al Senato per la fiducia sembravano già essere messi in discussione da Forza Italia. Una squadra di governo snella composta da 16 ministri di cui metà donne. È durato oltre due ore il vertice del premier incaricato Matteo Renzi con il capo dello Stato Giorgio Napolitano al Quirinale. Come previsto il fedelissimo Graziano Delrio sarà il sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio. All’Economia come lui stesso aveva annunciato via twitter il tecnico presidente dell’Istat Pier Carlo Padoan. Riconferma di Angelino Alfano agli Interni. A sorpresa Andrea Orlando alla Giustizia (era ministro uscente all’Ambiente). Maurizio Lupi alle Infrastrutture, Dario Franceschini alla Cultura, Giuliano Poletti di Legacoop al Lavoro e politiche sociali; al Mipaaf Maurizio Martina.     ITALY 2017 INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM REPORT Executive Summary The constitution protects freedom of religion and the right of religious communities to establish their own institutions. The constitution specifies the state and the Catholic Church are independent, their relations governed by treaties, which include a concordat granting the Church a number of privileges and benefits, as well as financial support. Other religious groups must register to receive tax and other benefits. Registered groups may request an accord with the state that provides most of the same benefits granted the Catholic Church. Muslims continued to report difficulties in acquiring permission from local governments to construct mosques or keep them open. In February the Ministry of Interior (MOI) signed an agreement with the country’s largest Muslim organization with the stated purpose of preventing radicalization and promoting the training of imams to manage funds transparently and deliver sermons in Italian. Following the ruling, Milan municipal officials continued to withhold authorization to build two new mosques and a Protestant church, citing limited capability to identify proper venues as required by the law. Local governments closed Bangladeshi informal “garage” mosques in Mestre and in Rome, and a group sought a referendum to block a new mosque in Pisa. In separate rulings, a Lazio court ordered authorities to reopen the five garage mosques that Rome officials had closed down in 2016. There were anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim incidents, including threats, hate speech, graffiti, and vandalism. In 2016, the most recent year for which data were available, the quasi-governmental National Office against Racial Discrimination (UNAR) reported 240 cases of discrimination based on religion, compared with 28 the previous year.

    Italy IGF - November 25, 2014 House of Representatives Hall of the Palace of the Parliamentary Groups Rome Description of the event Promoted by the United Nations since 2006, the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a place for multistakeholder discussion, declined on a global, regional and national levels, in which all stakeholders are invited to discuss on issues related to Internet governance. The IGF Italy in 2104, was held downstream global event in Istanbul last September and focused on two main themes: 1) lessons learned in the global IGF linking to present and future of Internet Governance in Italy and 2) the wide and complex issue of the rights on the Internet. In relation to the first issue, the discussion focused on a multistakeholder model of Internet Governance involving central and local governments, the private sector, the civil society and technical community in order to constitute an organic, stable over time, inclusive and participatory framework in our country. This needs to make reference to the important events that are redefining the Internet Governance worldwide - including: the innovations in the operation of ICANN and IANA, the event of Net Mundial, the launch in Brazil of "Marco Civil", etc. The second area of debate was connected to the “Bill of Rights on the Internet”, prepared by a Study Commission established at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, which intends to specify the principles which should guide the development of the Internet and the ensuing rights for users. This initiative is in a phase of public consultation and soon will be proposed to the European Union for a possible formal adoption.
