Bay to Breakers An annual footrace on the third Sunday of May, which is more “fun” than “run” for participants who often dress in wild costumes. The 12k race starts along the Embarcadero before cutting across the city and ending on the Great Highway at Ocean Beach. There’s a fee to register, but many people crash the course for free. The San Francisco Caltrain Station is 1.4 miles away from the race starting line.
