PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

November heralds the season of Thanksgiving for all of us, and I would like to add my own message of “thanks” at this time of year. In October we had a very successful Scholarship Auction, and I would, as well as the Executive Board Members, like to “thank” those individuals and businesses that donated lovely gifts or services for the auction, and equally as important…”thank you” to those that attended the auction and made bids. The auction raised over $1600.00 towards scholarships, and that could not have been accomplished without your generosity. A “special thanks” goes to Julie Sanders, Nicole Helfrich and the other members of the Scholarship Committee for putting on such a great auction event.

I would also like to “thank” those that I serve with on the Executive Board. They donate a lot of time in behalf of Women in Business, planning, scheduling, and following up on events. They willingly give their time to the betterment of this terrific WIB organization. I would also like to “thank” those individuals and departments at Utah State University that have generously donated their time and resources to assist WIB in the technical support areas.

And last but certainly not least, I want to “thank” you as members of Women in Business. You faithfully come each month to the luncheons. We recognize that sometimes you have to wait in line and we appreciate the patience that you demonstrate. You graciously donate prizes and purchase raffle tickets that adds to the bottom line of our scholarship monies. You bring guests and new members monthly, and the growth of the organization can be attributed directly back to you. You also offer feedback that helps us provide a more meaningful experience when you come to WIB events.

I “thank you”, the Executive Board “thanks you” and those women who you contribute scholarship support to, most assuredly “thanks you”!

Please plan on joining us for November’s luncheon featuring Love to Cook at Kitchen Kneads. They will be sharing ideas for your holiday kitchen “needs”. We will be meeting on Tuesday, November 8th at 11:55 at the UFOC (Utah Festival Opera Company) building. Don’t forget to RSVP and I look forward to seeing you there!
