As a center for Army materiel testing, laboratory research and military training, APG contributes significantly to our nation’s defense. All tracked and wheeled military vehicles for the past 50 years have been tested for performance and durability at APG. The installation’s Edgewood Area has played a major role in the defense and safety of American forces threatened by chemical weapons.
