On New England Head Coach Bill Belichick’s vote of confidence “It’s great. I’m still going to do the same thing I’ve been doing all my life, and that’s just taking it one day at a time, one play at a time and try to be the best player I can be for my teammates.”
On the Patriots “I don’t know what you guys expect, but I know what we’re going to do. We’re going to take it one play at a time, one day at a time. That’s been the formula for success for this whole team, and I know if we stick to that, we feel pretty confident going into this game.”
On New England QB Tom Brady “First of all, he’s the leader of the pack over there, and he’s been doing it consistently for a number of years. I’ve only had a short career in this league so far, but in my opinion, he’s one of the best out there. I’m looking forward to playing against the best and just seeing what happens.
“It’s incredible going against a guy like that. I was just thinking about it at practice—in college, the best team I played in the Big 12 was probably Oklahoma. On if he can rush New England QB Tom Brady. “I don’t know. We’re still trying to figure that out now. I’m going to have a fanatical pursuit to the ball, relentless effort. I’m going to try whatever it takes to get there. He’s a great quarterback—hats off to the whole Patriots organization—and they’re a great team. I’m just looking forward to going against them.”
