From the Coordinator

Greetings to everyone

I’ve just heard that two of the students who did the Professional Speaking for Migrants course and went on to do the exam have passed. Congratulaons to Regina Benne and Dorothy Ato. I’m sure we’ll have some photos in next month’s newsleer of them receiving their cerficates. That’s a wonderful achievement for them and will be good for their CVs.

Coming up on November 3rd is Rainbow Praise and on November 23rd we’ll be taking part in the Santa Parade (details on page 7). Hope you’ll be able to join with us then so we have lots of people taking part from different countries. Joining in with an event like this, and other community events, helps to grow the feeling of belonging in the community.

This me of the year in New Zealand you will find there are lots of end of year acvies between now and Christmas. We have our Christmas picnic on Sunday December 8th, from 12 noon to 2.30pm. This is very informal so you are welcome to come and go as you want to.

Remember, if you have a query or need help, or not sure what to do give me a phone call. If I can’t help directly, I’ll be able to put you in touch with someone who can.
