Membrane Filter press & Plates We manufacture a complete line of membrane filter plates to accommodate the basic , yet unique application of the filtration industry today. · For companies wanting to reduce operating costs and achieve higher dry solids content in the filter cake, Filter machines Pvt. Ltd. has developed the High Pressure Membrane Filter Press. · A key feature of the system is membrane squeezing pressure to 16 bar. · The feed pumps are used to feed the slurry at pressures up to 10-15 bar. · The slurry pump automatically switches off when desired pressure achieves and starts the membrane squeezing process, which is control by VFD. · With materials such as palm oil, the High Pressure Membrane Filter Press at a pressure of 16 bar in the chamber filter press, equivalent to a residual moisture content of approx. 15-25%. · When a subsequent drying process is required, the energy saved can be substantial. · Because an additional 4% or more of dry solids can be processed when conditioned organically, high-pressure membrane dewatering also requires less space for disposal compared to conventional filter presses. · The High Pressure Membrane Filter Press can be supplied with a number of automatic features including filter cake discharge devices such as spreading mechanisms and vibration and scraping devices. · The high level of automation also reduces the number of people required for the dewatering operation, which reduce the per day operating cost.

· Opening & closing. · The feed pumps are used to feed the slurry at pressures up to 5-15 bars. · A processor calculates when the press chamber is full and automatically switches off the slurry pump and starts the membrane squeezing process. Automatic Plate Shifting Device: · Auto plate shifting mechanism to shift all the Filter Plates simultaneously at a time along in a single stroke with the opening of the Filter Press. The Filter Plates linked with the Moving Body by a specially designed lever & link design for equidistance opening of the Filter Plates during cake Discharge. Auto Plate Lifting-Shifting: · Automatic Plate lifting device (cam operated) for cake discharge. It is driven by hydraulically operated motor (Hydro motor). The cams are located on both the side of the Filter Press side bars. It is provided to shake the Filter Plates which helps the cake to drop from the Filter Cloth. Automatic Filter Cloth Washer: Auto Filter Press Automatic Inlet-Outlet Valves : · Pneumatically Actuator operated Ball valves with FRL Unit(Filter, Regulator, Lubricator) with necessary Solenoid valves for Slurry Inlet, Cake Airing, Cake Washing, close filtrate Outlet, Air Purging (core blowing inlet / outlet] all operated in a programmed sequence as required during the operation logically controlled by PLC. Bomb Door Drip Tray: · Automatic Bomb Door type Drip Collection Tray (Hydraulically operated) for Drip Collection during capillary action & peripheral filtrate collection during cake discharge. The Drip tray is control by a special logic from the Panel having special operations & pauses for different operation like: Filter Cloth washing, peripheral filtrate drain and Drip collection. · Conveyor belt: collect the cake from filter press & transfer the same.

Semi Automatic Perfectly designed shifting mechanism eliminates manual labor completely. Device automatically shifts one plate at a time towards the sliding plate creating enough gap to enable filter cake to fall down by its own weight. Rechet Type Filter Press Filter press Working STAGE-1: The plate pack is pressurized by a hydraulic ram closure system that extends the movable head to the plate pack. The movable head and the fixed head form the boundaries of the plate pack. As pressure builds on the plate pack, plates come together to form chambers. Liquid slurry containing suspended solids is then pumped into the feed inlet of the filter press. The slurry is forced into each chamber of the filter press. STAGE-2: As the slurry enters each chamber, liquid passes through the filter cloth to channels in the filter plate. This liquid then exits through the discharge ports of the filter plate. Suspended solids are captured on the surface of the filter cloths. As the solids build, they provide a medium for further filtration. With pressure exerted by the feed pump, solids displace liquid in the chamber. Eventually, a filter cake is formed. STAGE- 3: When maximum pressure is reached, the filter press is vented and the movable head is retracted from the filter plates. STAGE-4: Filter plates are then separated to allow formed filter cakes to fall into an appropriate cake handling system. Separation of the filter plates can be accomplished either manually or by using an optional semi-automatic plate shifting mechanism.

Chamber filter presses are reliable and robust in many different applications. The plate pack consists of uniform chamber plates with a recess of 15 - 50 mm to receive the filter cake. A chamber plate is a combination of a filter plate and two frames in once piece. The standard material for chamber plates is Polypropylene. Possible operating pressures: 6, 15 and 30 bar.

Plate & Frame Type: The chambers of this type of filter press are formed by combining Polypropylene filter plates and frames. This creates chambers of 5 - 40 mm, depending on frame thickness. Plate and frame type filter presses are suitable for pre-coating filtration, which in the beverage industry, is used for clear filtration. The common method used is water / air / oil pressure, which is generated by pumping into the squeeze cavity to inflate the face of the plate against the filter cake.

Membrane Plates are used to reduce the cake moisture content or shorten the filtration cycle time. Two types of membrane plate designs are used; fixed and replaceable. Mixed pack membranes are the most common configuration - (one recessed plate then one membrane plate alternate in the press plate pack). The final product produces savings in the overall plate pack cost.

Membrane plates usually operate at a feed pressure of up to 8 bars and squeeze pressure to 16 bars. Special plates can be designed to accept higher feed and squeeze pressures. Fixed Membranes are most commonly 100% polypropylene but, thermoplastic is also available. The plate is manufactured by molding a face membrane and a core plate separately. The face membranes are then joined into the core by heat welding to form a homogeneous plate. Although this type of membrane is suitable for many designs, it has particular advantages in Filter Machines Pvt. Ltd. food applications where the lack of joints will prevent contamination.
