The interview took place at 925 Bergen Street in Brooklyn, New York, and was conducted by Judith Olch Richards for the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution. Interview JUDITH RICHARDS: This is Judith Richards interviewing Peter Saul on November 3, 2009, at 925 Bergen Street in Brooklyn [NY], for the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, disc one. Peter, let's start with your family background, maybe just a little bit about your grandparents, if you knew them, and where they were from. And then moving on to your parents and their backgrounds, and then coming to when and where you were born. PETER SAUL: Grandparents - my father's parents, I don't know anything about really except they were in the fur business in London, England. And that is it, pretty much. My mother's - MS.
