An avid fan of music, Kyung Chy developed into opera at a young age. Born in South Korea, she began to hone her skills in the discipline of opera performance while attending school. She was accepted into the Korean National University of Arts in 1993 as a result of receiving first place honors in an audition. After earning her bachelor’s degree In 1997, she continued her studies in Milano, Italy at the Conservatory of Giuseppe Verdi, entering as the frontrunner and graduating with top honors for voice(1998-2001). She received a scholarship to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and finished her master of music degree in 2006. She has been recognized for her outstanding Monday, December 3, 2012 achievements three separate times in international competitions at Bilbao in Spain as well as Sanremo and Lecco in Italy. Performing in various countries including Japan, Italy, The United States, and Good Samaritan Hospital Korea, she has exhibited her talent and skill through opera. She has played the parts of Madama All Souls Chapel Catese in Il Viaggio Reims (2004), Fiordiligi of Cosi fan tutte and Yerma of Lorca, The Child of the Moon by Ian Krouse (2005) in UCLA. LA Times gave her rave reviews on her performance saying Kyung Chy’s high notes [are]the real, sparkling thing! Recently, she gave a performance for Korean National Assembly members in Seoul, Korea (2006). Also, the Bohemian's Foundation had awarded her with a scholarship for the excellence she displayed in her singing (2006). Kyung Chy, a dedicated performer, continues to overwhelm audiences with her elegant presence. ~ ~ PROGRAM ~ Playing from the heart defines Namhee Han’s approach to music making. She was a featured artist at the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) in 2004 and the Regional Convention of the AGO in San Francisco in 2011. Namhee was selected for the 6th Musashino-Tokyo International Organ Competition in 2008. Constantly expanding the repertoire of her artistic expressions, she has played the harpsichord and harmonium with the GRAMMY Award winning Southwest Chamber Music. A native of South Korea, Namhee studied the piano from age eight. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Noël sur les flutes Louis Claude d’Aquin English education from Seoul National University, she came to the US to pursue graduate studies in From "Six Interludes on Christmas Carols" William Lloyd Webber linguistics. He studied piano, organ and Kyung Chy, soprano theory of music at the Zagreb Academy of Music. After graduation he continued his studies in Rome Dr. Namhee Han at the St. Cecilia Conservatory of Music, under Mo. Fernando Germani. At the same time Zeljko Dr. Namhee Han, organ started performing and giving organ recitals throughout Europe, United States and Asia. Ladd Thomas. He had a long standing association with Pepperdine University in Malibu. In 2011 Marasovich was commissioned by the LA Chapter of the American Guild of Organists to write an opening composition for the Centennial Celebration Gala Concert held at the First Congregational Church. Currently he is serving as the Dean of the Los Angeles Chapter of the AGO.
