THURSDAY APRIL 19 th – Total Cost of the Day : 15€

• Arrival of all Texans in the afternoon and accommodation in host families • 7:00 PM: typical Italian “Aperitivo”- little get together in the castle to welcome everyone in Italy. • 8:30 PM: Dinner @ Ristorante Pizzeria Da Vincenzo There will be a “Giro Pizza”: endless choices of any kind pizza ( 15 €) (http://www.davincenzoristorante.com/ ).

FRIDAY APRIL 20 TH – TOUR of the LANGHE HILLS- Total Cost of the Day : 55€

• 8:30 AM: Meet in Piazza Castello (near the Castle) • 8:45 AM: Departure by bus • Visit to the Typewriter Museum( https://www.braservizi.com/en/educational/typewriter- museum/ ) and Bicycle Museum( https://www.braservizi.com/en/educational/bicycle- museum/ ) @ BRA SERVIZI( https://www.braservizi.com/en/ ) • Visit the winery Cantina FontanaFredda( http://www.fontanafredda.it/site/en/home_en/ ) in Serralunga d’Alba. Tajarin (traditional fresh egg pasta) - Raviole al plin (traditional homemade ravioli “plin style”) Rabbit - Veal roast

Meringue - Bunet (typical Piedmontese pudding with cocoa and amaretti biscuits) - Strudel 1

• Tour of some panoramic points in Langhe hills • Tour in Barolo • Apericena( an aperitif-dinner buffet) @ winery Cantine Borgogno Francesco ( http://cantinaborgogno.com/en/ ) in Barolo( 10 €) • Return to Monasterolo in the late evening

SATURDAY APRIL 21 ST – TOUR of SACRA di SAN MICHELE and PALACE of VENERIA-Total Cost of the Day: 56€

• 8:30 AM: Meet in Piazza Castello (near the Castle) • 8:45 AM: Departure by bus • Visit to Sacra di San Michele( http://www.sacradisanmichele.com/en/ )( entry fees + guided tour: 8€)

• Lunch @ Cascina di Corte( http://www.cascinadicorte.it/index_eng.html ) in Venaria.

Menù (30€): Zucchini and cheese flan Vitello Tonnato (veal with tuna sauce) Toma cheese with honey Risotto carnaroli with sausages and Barbera Pot roast and potatoes Tiramisù

• Tour of Palace of Venaria( http://www.lavenaria.it/en ) (entry fees+ guided tour: 18€)

• Return to Monasterolo in the late afternoon

• 8:00 PM: dinner @ the party pavilion to celebrate with the town the “Festa di San Giuseppe” (San Giuseppe’s day celebrations). Music entrainment will be provided by the local dj Cocò

SUNDAY APRIL 22 ND – Total Cost of the Day: 35€

• 10:00 AM : Visit of Monasterolo di Savigliano Castle.

• 11:00 AM: Holy Mass

• 1:00 PM: lunch @ Poggio Radicati(https://www.ristorantepoggioradicati.com/ ) in Saluzzo.

Menù (35€): Vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce) Eggs and cheese fondue (made with local cheese) Rice with asparagus cream and quenelle made with caprine cheese Veal roast with nebbiolo, potato soufflé and vegetables tiramisù

• Visit to the towns of Saluzzo and Savigliano (City close to Monasterolo)

• Return to Monasterolo in time for Apericena (an aperitif-dinner buffet) @ the party pavilion

• 9:00 PM: Wedding dresses fashion show. Over 60 dresses worn by the locals on their big day will be showed.

MONDAY APRIL 23TH - Visit of Monasterolo di Savigliano

• The day will be spent visiting local industries, shops and school.

• Lunch @ the party pavilion. It is a tradition to have boiled beef on Monday during the San Giuseppe’s day celebrations.

• The visit to the town will continue in the afternoon.

• Dinner will be at home, and there is the opportunity to spend the evening at the party pavilion, where there will be music.

TUESDAY APRIL 24 TH –TOUR of Turin- Total Cost of the Day: 51€

• 7:15 AM: Meet in Piazza Castello (near the castle) and departure.

• 9:30 AM: meeting with Piedmont President Chiamparino @ the region offices

• Visit to Palazzo Carignano and the Museum of the Risorgimento (http://www.museorisorgimentotorino.it/museo.php ) (entry fees: 11€)

• Lunch on your own

• 2:00 PM: guided tour of Turin

• Free time for shopping.

• Dinner @ Ristorante Catullo ( http://www.ristorantecatullo.com/ ) near the Po river.

Menù (40€) Focaccia with tomato sauce Asparagus and cheese flan Fassone minced with celery and Grana Rice with sausages and chicory cooked with Barolo Braised veal shank with potatoes Pastries

• Return to Monasterolo in the late evening

WEDNESDAY APRIL 25 TH - SISTER CITY DAY

• 10:00 AM: Meeting in the city hall to celebrate the 20 th anniversary of the Sister City program between Duncanville and Monasterolo

• 11:00 AM: Parade in Monasterolo with the Marching Band from Moretta. There will be a stop at the fallen soldier’s monument to celebrate the Liberation Day (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberation_Day_(Italy))

• 12:30 PM: lunch the party pavilion will consist of Fritto Misto (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/fritto_misto Menu: Meat minced “Primavera” Salad Ravioli “Val Varaita Meat fritto misto Dessert

• The afternoon, dinner and the evening will be spent with your host families

THURSDAY APRIL 26 TH -LAKE MAGGIORE-Total Cost of the Day: 42€

• 6:45 AM: Meet in Piazza Castello (near the castle) • 7:00 AM: Departure by bus

FRIDAY APRIL 27 TH - Visit of Natural Park of the Marguareis and Bossea Caves Total Cost of the Day: 33 €
