A total 36 algal samples were collected from 12 sites by squeezing the submerged aquatic plants. Present paper describes 35 green algae under 18 genera from Raja-Rani wetland as new record for Nepal.Genus Euastrum consists 5 species; genera Cosmarium, Staurodesmus, and Staurastrum consist 4 species each; genera Scenedesmus, Closterium, Pleurotaeniuum and Xanthidium consist 2 species each; and rest genera consist only single taxa each. Water parameters of the wetland of winter, summer and rainy seasons were also recorded. ABSTRACT Background: Road traffic accidents is growing continuously as a global burden and would be a leading cause of death in developing countries. The global burden of road traffic accidents continues to grow and promises to overtake tropical diseases as leading causes of death in the developing world. This study aimed to study the pattern and causes of road traffic accidents in Morang district. Methods: Record based descriptive cross-sectional study was used by reviewing all registered RTA cases of the District Traffic Police Office, Morang during fiscal year 2074/75 (Shrawan 2074 to Ashad 2075). 501 road traffic accident cases were found in the record and used for the study. The data was analysed using SPSS v 16 and presented in normal frequency tables and crosstables. Results: Out of 501 accidents 32.2% occurred Friday and Saturday. In the evening time, most of the accidents occurred. In highways, 53.5% of accident cases occurred. 82% of the accidents occurred in blacktop road. Two- wheelers are mostly involved in accident cases (77%). Negligence (55.7%) and over-speed (36.5%) were the major reasons for accidents. In 33% of cases, accidents occurred involving pedestrians and cyclists. 80% of the drivers are below 40 years; similarly 80% of the victims are also below 40 years. -

Terms of Reference (ToR) Market Study of Dairy Business in Morang District 1. Introduction Rural Women Development Center (RWDC) is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization registered in District Administration Office, Morang. It is affiliated to social welfare council in 1993. Rural Women Development Center has the vision to support the rural women to become socio-economically capable through income generation, education, health and environment related interventions. The main objective of the organization is to improve the economic condition of the marginalized and poor women by increasing their income and making them self-reliant. With the financial and technical support of Good Neighbors International Nepal, RWDC has been implementing Employment Generation and Value Chain Development (EGVCD) Project -Phase II in Morang. The project focuses strengthening dairy business of the Dugda Uthpadak Cooperative Ltd, Letang. 2. Background information of the cooperative The Dugda Uthpadak Cooperative Ltd. is located in Letang Municipality-3. It was established on 25th Kartik 2050 B.S. (10th Nov 1993) and officially registered on District Cooperative Office, Biratnagar with the objective of delivering its services to dairy farmers of its command area on production and marketing of milk and milk products. In the past, the cooperative used to collect milk from 50 farmers and sale to DDC. But now cooperative has 1905 members with 7 collection centers with 1 milk analyzer in each center and 3 selling depos. The cooperative has 2 chilling vat and transportation tank capacity of 3000 liters and 2000 liters respectively. Cooperative has been collecting milk from local farmers of Letang municipality. -
